Filming of the drama began on May 7, 2016, and a start-up ceremony was held next to the Dragon Bridge in Huangyao Ancient Town, Zhaoping County, Guangxi Province. Location shooting in Hezhou ended in July 2016. When the TV series was filmed in Hezhou, the TV series "Three Eight Lines" starring Zhang Guoqiang, who was known as a "national tough guy", was popular on several provincial satellite channels, attracting many fans to "chase the stars" to watch the shooting.
