Shichuan Town is located about 20 kilometers northeast of Lanzhou, with green mountains in the north and south, and the Yellow River runs through this U-turn north, leaving a fertile land in her arms, giving birth to the largest ancient pear orchard in the mainland, known as "the world's first ancient pear garden".
Shichuan ancient pear garden covers an area of more than 12,000 acres, with more than 9,000 pear trees over 100 years old, and ancient pear trees over 300 years old can be seen everywhere.
Every April, Shikawa pear blossoms bloom again. Because of the epidemic, I haven't been to Pear Orchard for three years. Recently, Lanzhou has always had dusty weather, which affects people's mood to go out to enjoy the flowers. But the flowers did not wait for people, in order to avoid the congestion of weekend vehicles and flower watchers, under the gray sky and dusty air, I drove half an hour in the afternoon to reach the ancient pear garden in Shichuan Town.
Just entered Shichuan, driving on the mountain bank road by the Yellow River, the first thing I saw was the pear blossoms along the river opposite, like snow-white lace for the ancient Yellow River.
Almost every family of the Shichuan people grows pears, and the entire town is full of pear trees regardless of the mountains and rivers. Every time I go to the pear garden, I like to smell the faint fragrance of flowers and walk slowly under the petaled pear trees in the beautiful scenery of "white brocade without texture fragrance, jade trees piling snow". The lush pear trees cling to each other, and the old pear trees that are more than 300 years old have vigorous branches and different shapes, and it is amazing that they are still flourishing. The farmer's courtyard is hidden in it, red bricks and green tiles, and branches with pear blossoms hanging inside and outside the courtyard wall are connected to each other, full of ancient meaning, and you can't help but envy the owner of the courtyard. Although the weather is dusty and the sun is gray, the wind with the fragrance of flowers blows from the Yellow River from time to time, the thin branches sway, and the pear blossoms are as white as snow and shining silver.
