On the afternoon of September 17, Zhijiang West Road Street held a deployment meeting for the election of the second session of the Workers' Congress. About 45 chairpersons of grass-roots trade unions at all levels attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Comrade Wu Bili, full-time vice chairman of the Street Federation of Trade Unions, made a detailed interpretation of the contents of the documents issued at the meeting, "Notice on the Election of Representatives to the Second First Congress of the Zhijiang West Road Street Trade Union in Jing'an District" and "Notice on Recommending Candidates for the Second Committee and the FundIng Review Committee of the Zhijiang West Road Street Federation of Trade Unions" issued at the meeting.
Finally, Li Bin, deputy secretary of the street party working committee and chairman of the federation of trade unions, put forward three requirements for doing a good job in the election of the second session of the street workers' congress and promoting the in-depth development of grass-roots trade unions:
First, we must attach great importance to it ideologically
The election of the second and first workers' congress of Zhijiang West Road Street in Jing'an District is a major event in the work of street trade unions, and it is also a major event in the political life of all trade union members.
Second, grasp the key links
The first is to grasp the selection of candidates. All units conscientiously refer to the requirements of the document and conscientiously do a good job in selecting deputies and recommending candidates for committee members. The second is to grasp the time node. In strict accordance with the time arrangement for the selection of candidates for deputies and the two committees in the document, we should do a solid job in the selection of deputies and the recommendation of candidates for the two committees, and ensure that the work of selecting candidates for the early stage of the street workers' congress is carried out in an orderly manner. The third is to grasp the procedural barriers. The selection of deputies should fully embody the democratic nature, convene a general meeting of members or a general assembly of members in strict accordance with the requirements, and be elected by secret ballot. The recommendation of candidates for membership shall be nominated through a trade union group meeting.
Third, fully stimulate the vitality of grass-roots trade unions
This year is a big year for the change of term, and the grass-roots trade unions at all levels have also carried out the re-election of the new term, and it is necessary to take this as an opportunity to further give play to the role of grass-roots trade union organizations. First, we must continue to deepen the work of the community joint trade union, promote the integration of the community employee congress system into the residents' autonomy management system and mechanism, and promote the community joint trade union to truly turn around and live under the guidance of the party building in the residential area. Second, it is necessary to continue to consolidate the organizational foundation of enterprise trade unions, classify and guide the work of trade unions in enterprises with separate associations in combination with the scale of enterprises, promote the in-depth development of trade union work in large-scale non-public enterprises, and effectively give play to the role of trade unions as a bridge.
