Yingzigou is located in the hinterland of Dahualing in Lvlin Town, which is a small natural village with beautiful mountains and waters, simple folk customs and rich products. It is also the hometown of my dear friend Brother Li. He told me many times that Eagle Gully is a place with a story and a place worth seeing, and invited me to Eagle Trench many times.
During the National Day, the season has entered mid-autumn. With the sun shining and the cool breeze, we finally embarked on the journey to Yingzigou.
After crossing the Pailuo River, you enter the jurisdiction of Green Forest Town, and the newly built asphalt road is winding, and the passing vehicles are like dragons walking snakes. The vegetation on both sides of the road is abundant, and the tall and low trees are green, and although the season has entered autumn, there is no sign of the red color abating.
The car walked on the stretched road, looking at the scenery on both sides, and in less than an hour, it reached Eagle Gully.
After getting off the bus, you will see a small farm courtyard surrounded by green trees, the sky is blue and white, each block is only three or two families, some are only one, the locals call it a single family.
The village is quiet, with a few chickens foraging in the shade, three villagers sitting together and two older brothers fishing by the river. When the two yellow dogs saw the living person, they barked at the camera I was holding, but it brought a sound to the silent man.
The rows of beehives next to the back of each house, the mountain goods drying at the door, the neatly chopped firewood, and the steps with small grass growing in the stone crevices all show that they have arrived in the mountains.
Just like outside the mountain, Yingzigou is also in the harvest season, and the front of the house is full of grain, and the yellow rot is very eye-catching. An eldest sister is beating soybeans with a lotus flail, which may be what people call the original way of working! Another eldest brother dragged a cartload full of oranges by a tractor to find someone to process and crush them for winter storage.
Walking around the village, I also saw many quaint agricultural tools that were difficult to see elsewhere, including stone rocks, carts, windmills, and slabs. In a few years, I don't know if I can name these old agricultural tools. Only the solar street lights installed on the side of the road give a modern look.
Yingzigou is also a place with a glorious revolutionary history.
"History of the Battle of the Five Divisions", "History of the Communist Party of China Jingshan (1921--1949)", "Journey Footsound", "Fenghua Jingshan", "Red Blood Spring Flower" and other special records on Yingzigou. During the Anti-Japanese War, this was the former site of the Political Department and Security Headquarters of the Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army, where Chen Shaomin, Zheng Shaowen, and Instructor Tao lived. The security headquarters of the fifth division was stationed here, and the security commander Zheng Shaowen often led the soldiers to practice in the empty field of Yingzigou. Chen Shaomin, political commissar of the Fifth Division (affectionately called her "Chen Dajiao" by the local people), Zheng Shaowen, and other leading comrades often sat around the millstone, studying the current situation and discussing the war, leaving behind the good story of "soldiers in the ravine."
On the hill behind the house, there are still military fortifications made of stone yards, which still exist. There is also a very old house in the wall, which is the original mint printing factory (printing side coins). The threshold was made by Li Xiannian (a carpenter) from a tree. An old man nearly 80 years old told us that when he was a child, he heard from old people that after the side currency was printed, it had to be stamped before it could be used. There is also a ground building under the house of the printing factory, which is stored in case the enemy snatches away the printing equipment and some important materials when sweeping the mountain, and there are "horse trees" and "fish water springs" where soldiers have been raised for thousands of days. Coincidentally, a few days before Zheng Shaowen's death on October 8, 1993, the spring water unexpectedly began to stop, and since then, the source of Yingzigou has been sporadically with some spring water, far less abundant and continuous flowing water than before.
Here, there were also six battles of Hualing, large and small, the suppression of bandits in Wangjiashan, and the first and only people's congress of Jingbei County of the Communist Party of China.
In the hundreds of years of historical inheritance of the old house, the most famous is that this old house also walked out of the scholar Li Guodong, one of the four great talents of Jingshan, the Republic of China, at the age of 5 because of the proficiency in the recitation of the "Three Character Sutra" and free admission to private school, at the age of 8 was admitted to Jingshan County Primary School for two years. Later, he was admitted to Hankou and became a student of Hubei Province Jia Chong Industrial School.
After this became the Political Department and Security Headquarters of the Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army, Chen Shaomin and Zheng Shaowen lived here, and Li Guodong was influenced by the revolution in the early days, became a democratic progressive, vigorously promoted the development of culture and education in northwest Beijing, and taught at the local Hongshan Public School, Bajiachong Anti-Japanese Primary School, and the Deng Ancestral Hall Anti-Japanese Primary School set up at the site of the First Committee of the Jingbei County Party Committee.
Li Guodong also participated in the revolution in 1939, and served as secretary of the central branch of the northwest region of Jingshan County, deputy political commissar and political commissar of the Jingzhong Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Brigade, and magistrate of Nanyuan County, and Zhou Kairuo, who was elected head of the northwest district office in 1942.
As the sun sets, wisps of faint cooking smoke have floated out on the roof of the farmhouse, the villagers working in the fields carry the farm tools home, the sunset in the sky is shining, and a group of white sheep who have eaten enough grass come down from the mountain behind the house, oh, what a beautiful and idyllic evening picture of the mountain countryside...
