Chen drove forward hundreds of meters, found the electric bicycle stuck in the bottom of the semi-trailer, took out the vehicle and threw it on the side of the road, and continued to drive away. The next day, when Chen surrendered himself from Nansha in Guangzhou, he turned himself in near the Lingxin Branch Line in Guangzhou's Nansha District. On March 31, Chen was criminally detained.
At about 21:00 on the night of the incident, a truck driver drove from Huangpu to Triangle Town, passing through the middle of the road opposite the Colmar Bus Station in Triangle Town, and found a female body lying on the road, and immediately dialed 110 to call the police. The traffic police brigade of the Triangle Public Security Sub-bureau on duty immediately rushed to the scene to deal with the news, and the woman involved in the scene was unbearable to see. After the doctor of the Triangle Hospital went to the scene to diagnose, it was confirmed that the woman concerned had died.
After investigation, it was learned that the woman in question was surnamed Gong, now 46 years old, a native of Yilong County, Sichuan Province, who was working in a leather goods factory in Triangle Town before the incident, and was tragically killed on the way home from work at 21:00 that night. Passing through the above section of the road, it was hit by a large truck, and the vehicle that caused the accident had escaped.
Since the vehicle that caused the accident was not found at the scene of the accident, the duty leader of the Triangle Public Security Sub-bureau went to the scene to organize the traffic police and criminal investigation departments to jointly carry out the investigation of the case.
That night, through the vehicle fragments at the scene of the accident and the surveillance video on the way the vehicle escaped, the police handling the case initially locked a Guangdong BH***6 red container car as a suspected accident vehicle, and then contacted the owner according to the vehicle registration information, asking to urge the driver to go to the Triangle Traffic Police Brigade as soon as possible for investigation and processing.
On the morning of March 26, the driver who caused the accident drove from Nansha, Guangzhou to Zhongshan, and unexpectedly had a traffic accident in the Lingxin branch of Nansha District, Guangzhou. After learning of the relevant situation, the police handling the case of the triangle traffic police brigade drove to the Lingxin branch line section, arrested Chen Mou, and found the vehicle that caused the accident at the Nansha Port Wharf.
After investigation, the man who caused the accident, Chen Mou, was a native of Xinye County, Henan Province, and worked as a full-time driver in a logistics company in Shenzhen before the incident. According to Chen Mou's account, on the night of the incident, when he drove a semi-trailer at the traffic light intersection, he felt that the car was a little shaken, but he did not find anything touched, so he did not stop immediately. Instead, I drove forward for a few hundred meters before stopping to check, and I saw an electric bicycle under the car. Because he was afraid of being punished, he took out the vehicle, threw it to the side of the road, and then drove back to Nansha, Guangzhou, but the traffic police department quickly found his head. So he drove back to Zhongshan the next day and turned himself in.
On March 31, Chen was criminally detained on suspicion of traffic accidents and hit-and-run.
