The "Detective Di Renjie" series is a classic of costume detective dramas. Di Renjie, played by Liang Guanhua, and Li Yuanfang, played by Zhang Zijian, have become deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. It is generally believed that there are four parts in this series, the first three "Detective Di Renjie" and the later one "Divine Judgment Di Renjie". However, it has been circulating on the Internet, and there is a latest version of the Di Renjie series, which was broadcast as a web drama in 2017, Di Renjie is still played by Liang Guanhua, and other roles have suffered a large-scale "water change". This new "Detective Di Renjie" is called "Detective Di Renjie 5" on the Internet.
But in fact, there is no such drama as "Detective Di Renjie 5", and the new "Detective Di Renjie" directed by Ms. Zhang Wenling does not belong to Qian Yanqiu's Detective Di Renjie series, it belongs to an independent worldview of "Di Renjie TV Series". In this drama, the main actors have been greatly changed, the most controversial of which is the actor of the second male protagonist, Li Yuanfang, who is replaced by Zhang Zijian to Wu Zhuohan.
Why should such an important and deeply rooted role be replaced? This has to talk about the enmity between Zhang Wenling, the producer of the "Detective Di Renjie" series, and Qian Yanqiu.
Strictly speaking, there are only three parts of the "Detective Di Renjie" series, namely Detective Di Renjie 1, 2, and 3. The director and screenwriter of these three films is Qian Yanqiu, and the producer is Ms. Zhang Wenling, who has a CCTV background. The two have their own strengths, their partners can be described as a strong combination, the three series of Detective Di Renjie have left a deep impression on the audience, becoming a rare classic of domestic costume dramas in the first fifteen years of the twenty-first century. Zhang Zijian (played by Li Yuanfang), Liang Guanhua (played by Di Renjie) and Qian Yanqiu are known as the "Iron Triangle".
However, the lessons since ancient times tell us that once the business is large, there will inevitably be contradictions between the partners, and the previous union of Qian Yanqiu and Zhang Wenling has also come to an end after the end of the third part. It is understood that the main difference between the two is that Zhang Wenling wants to cater to the tastes of young audiences and add more emotional dramas; while Qian Yanqiu insists on "detective and martial arts" as the absolute dominance. It can be said that the difference in ideas eventually led to the parting of Qian Yanqiu and Zhang Wenling. After the breakup, the two fought fiercely for the rights of the TV series. In the end, Zhang Wenling obtained the naming rights of the TV series, while Qian Yanqiu claimed that he himself had registered the copyright of the script. This is the end of the storm.
Qian Yanqiu, with her own connections in the film and television circle, took almost all the main casts to start a new stove and filmed the anti-Japanese drama and the "Yan Double Eagle" series; and Zhang Wenling, because she had the naming rights, she also filmed "Detective Di Renjie Prequel" after this, although it gathered the strength faction represented by Fu Dalong and the traffic Xiaohua Dan represented by Yang Mi (Yang Mi was indeed just a traffic star at that time), but because the plot was incoherent, the logical structure was not strict and the ratings were not good.
Qian Yanqiu also filmed another work of Di Renjie after this, but because the naming right of "Detective Di Renjie" belonged to Zhang Wenling, the work of Di Renjie created by the original team had to be renamed "Divine Judgment Di Renjie". However, this work did not reach the height of Di Renjie's trilogy.
At this time, between Qian Yanqiu and the lead actor Liang Guanhua, there was another clash of ideas. After losing Di Renjie's naming rights, Qian Yanqiu focused on the anti-Japanese drama and the Yan Shuangying series, and successively filmed "Divine Dramas" such as "Plain Beacon", "Falcon 1949", and "Flying Tiger Condor". But in these dramas, the first protagonist is Zhang Zijian without exception, while Liang Guanhua, the protagonist of the "Detective Di Renjie" series, is reduced to a "villain professional", playing a traitor in "Plain Beacon", while in the Yan Shuangying series, he either plays the villain boss or the first thug of the villain. This gap is unacceptable to Liang Guanhua, so he proposed to continue shooting the costume series with "Di Renjie" as the IP. Qian Yanqiu did not agree. Since there is no way to talk about it, it can only be separated.
In an interview, Qian Yanqiu publicly stated: There are some conceptual problems between guanhua and me. It also means that he has publicly acknowledged the dissolution of the "Iron Triangle". Zhang Zijian, as another "corner" in the "Iron Triangle", will not comment on the contradiction between Qian Liang and Qian Liang, prevaricating the past with "not understanding".
Leaving with Liang Guanhua, there are also Xu Qian, who plays Zeng Tai, and others, who cooperated with Zhang Wenling after leaving Qian Yanqiu's team, so there was a new "Detective Di Renjie 4" that was spread online. Because li yuanfang's actor Zhang Zijian was in Qian Yanqiu's team, and Li Yuanfang's role was indispensable in the Di Renjie series, Zhang Wenling found Wu Zhuohan to play Li Yuanfang.
However, the play failed outright. Almost no TV station is willing to broadcast it, so this drama is only low-key as a web drama, and the number of views is dismal; moreover, because Zhang Wenling fully implemented her concept of "increasing emotional drama" in the play, the drama has almost undergone a qualitative change and become an "idol drama dressed in the guise of Di Renjie", which is unacceptable for fans of the Di Renjie series. As for Li Yuanfang, played by Wu Zhuohan, it is not that Wu Zhuohan's acting skills are not good, but because the audience is already familiar with Zhang Zijian's version of Li Yuanfang, and even draws Zhang Zijian and Li Yuanfang on an equal sign - just like the six-year-old child and Sun Wukong, so no matter how hard Wu Zhuohan performs, the audience still feels "no inner taste"; moreover, the setting of this play for Li Yuanfang is no longer the world's first master who blocks the god from killing the god and the Buddha blocks the killing of the Buddha, but a "rookie chicken" who fights with whomever is five or five. This is completely inconsistent with the audience's perception of Li Yuanfang. Therefore, Li Yuanfang, portrayed by Wu Zhuohan, is objectively a relative failure.
Qian Yanqiu and Zhang Wenling fell apart, and then the "Iron Triangle" disintegrated, which means that the "Detective Di Renjie" series, which is a childhood classic of the post-95s, has completely ended, and even if there is a TV series with the name of "Detective Di Renjie", it is difficult to reproduce the glory of the past, which is regrettable.
