Wang Wasongji was the first recipient of the Japanese National Honor Award and the only non-Japanese national to receive the honor.
Wang Zhenzhi was born on May 20, 1940 in Tokyo, Japan, and was originally from Feng YangCun, the four capitals of Qingtian, Zhejiang, China. His father, Wang Shifu, was born in the family of Feng Yu farmer in Qingtian, and in order to find a way to make a living, he left his hometown in 1922 and drifted with the villagers to Tokyo, Japan. Soon after, I met a girl born into a poor family in Toyama Prefecture. After marriage, they had five children, the eldest was called Tiecheng, the second was called Xingjiang, the third was called Junko, the fourth Hiroko and the old Five Sadaharu were twin siblings, and the older sister Hiroko died of smallpox fifteen months after birth, leaving only her younger brother Sadaji.
Iron City is Sadaharu's eldest brother, he is ten years older than Sadaharu, and he was already a baseball fan when he was studying. He often rode his bike with Sadaharu to the ballpark. Sadaharu is young and does not understand ball, so he cannot enter the baseball field and can only watch his brother and a group of people playing on the sidelines. In this way, Sadaharu has been inextricably linked to baseball since he was a child. With a lot of hard work, Sadahachi gradually entered the baseball world.
During high school, Wang entered Waseda Industrial High School and joined the baseball varsity team.
Later, under the guidance of strike coach Hiroshi Arakawa, Wang Zhenzhi created the Golden Rooster Independent Hitting Method "Scarecrow Strike Method", and mass production of home runs began, and he also became a well-known baseball player in Japan.
In 1964, Wang Set a new record for 55 home runs in a single season, and no one has yet surpassed it. On September 3, 1977, during a match against the Yakult Swallows at Tokyo's Korakuen Stadium, Sadaharu Wong scored the 756th home run of his career, breaking the world record and winning the inaugural Japan National Honor Award two days later. In his 21-year career, Wang Zhenzhi has created a total of 868 home runs, which no one has surpassed so far.
In 2001, his legend was included in the book "Qingtian People Overseas". Today, his father, Wang Shifu, still has relatives in the cemetery of Qingtian's hometown to help him clean up. The tombstone is engraved with the names of Wang Shifu and his grandfather and father. Wang Zhenzhi's name is also engraved on it, there is no title such as home run king, only ordinary 8 words: Wang Zhenzhi, son of Wang Shifu.
