Urban infrastructure construction has accelerated
In recent years, Fogang has determined the direction of efforts to "enter Zhurong Bay", deeply implement the development strategy of "eastward expansion, southward integration and northward expansion", and continuously accelerate urban infrastructure construction.
A number of important documents of the county party committee and the county government pointed out that Fogang County will adhere to urbanization as the core, promote urban expansion and quality improvement, comprehensively improve the quality and charm of the county, and actively undertake the transfer of non-central city functions in Guangzhou. Among them, the planning and construction of Longfeng New Area is the most important starting point for the expansion and quality improvement of Fogang County.
It is reported that Longfeng New Area will be mainly residential, supplemented by business, positioned as "a power engine to support the strategy of expanding eastward and northward, a charming new area to shape the image of a waterfront city, and a livable model to provide cultural and ecological life". After the completion of the project, it will effectively promote the urbanization work north of the County's Lujiang River, and play an important role in improving the urban quality on both sides of the county and the river, and improving investment and living environment. At present, the construction of the Longfeng New Area project is being promoted in accordance with the construction plan, and the construction project of Longfeng Avenue and Sports Center is scheduled to be completed in March 2022, and will undertake some of the competition projects of the 16th Provincial Games.
