Legend has it that when Wang Qiao was serving as a county commander in Ye County, he went to the capital on the first and fifteenth day of every month to worship the emperor. After following wang qiao for a period of time, he reported to the emperor that Wang Qiao was allowed to follow a pair of ducks every time he came to the capital, and the emperor ordered people to capture the two ducks when Wang Qiao came to beijing again. The guards did so, and used a net to catch two ducks and send them to the emperor, but the emperor saw that they were two shoes, and they were also the shoes that Han Xianzong himself gave to Shangshu in the fourth year. What is even more strange is that whenever Wang Qiao came to Beijing to worship the emperor, the drums in front of the Yamen of Yexian County would not sound on their own, and the drums could be transported to the capital.
One day, a jade coffin suddenly fell in the air in the county courtyard, and Wang Qiao said to the officials, "This is what the Heavenly Emperor wants to summon me to." So Wang Qiao fasted and bathed and took medicine, and then lay down in the coffin himself, and the officials buried the jade coffin in the soil, only to see that the soil was naturally piled up into a tomb. In an instant, there was a loud noise, only to see Wang Qiao come out of the tomb and fly into the sky riding a white crane.
