Today's China is rich and prosperous, and it can be said that it is everyone's luck to live in such an era.

However, while enjoying a better life, we must not forget the contributions of the revolutionary martyrs, whose sacrifices and dedication brought us to our beautiful today.

In 1929, Zhao Yunxiao walked to the execution site after feeding her child, what happened to her child

In the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, there are two very special cultural relics, which are actually two unique letters, one written by the husband to his wife and the other by the mother to the baby who has just reached the full moon.

The owners of these two letters were both revolutionary comrades and husband and wife, the husband's name was Chen Jue, and his wife's name was Zhao Yunxiao.

Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao were both born into wealthy families and received a good education from an early age, and the prosperity of their families did not make them ignore the hardships of the people at the bottom, but prompted them to embark on the road of revolution.

In the winter of 1925, Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao were sent to study in the Soviet Union, and both were arranged to enter Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow. The same origin, common ideas, they quickly came together, and then formed a revolutionary partner.

In September 1927, Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao returned from their studies in the Soviet Union and went to Liling, Hunan to participate in the Autumn Harvest Uprising according to organizational arrangements, and later commanded the Liling Nianguan Rebellion.

As the so-called husband and wife share the same heart and divide the money, they fought the local tyrants in Liling to divide the fields, did the revolutionary work with great sound, and even created a small arsenal belonging to the Communist Party and formed the Red Guards.

In April 1928, Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao were secretly arranged by the organization to go to Changsha to engage in underground work, and in September of that year, the husband and wife were arrested by the Kuomintang reactionaries for informants because of traitors.

In prison, the husband and wife encouraged each other, resolutely refused to submit to the Kuomintang reactionaries, and always adhered to the true colors of communists no matter how coerced and lured by the enemy. The enemy saw that the husband and wife still refused to give in, so he decided to kill them.

Before he was killed, Chen Jue wrote a desperate letter to his wife Zhao Yunxiao, in which he wrote:

In 1929, Zhao Yunxiao walked to the execution site after feeding her child, what happened to her child

On October 14, 1928, the reactionaries escorted Chen Jue and a group of other communists to Yuelu Mountain to cross the stone slope and kill him, and he was only 25 years old when he died.

After Chen Jue's sacrifice, his father Chen Jinghuan went to the execution site to collect his son's body, forcibly endured the grief of the white-haired man sending the black-haired man, and pushed the wheelbarrow from Changsha to Liling for a full 120 kilometers to bring his son home. In order to avoid being discovered by the enemy, Father Chen could only find a remote corner to quietly bury his son's body.

When Chen Jue was killed, his wife Zhao Yunxiao was pregnant and later gave birth to their daughter in prison. Zhao Yunxiao named his daughter Chen Qiming, hoping that she would inherit her parents' legacy in the future and strive for a better tomorrow in New China.

On March 24, 1929, the enemy decided to kill Zhao Yunxiao. Before his execution, Zhao Yunxiao wrote a letter to his daughter, who was only more than one month old, which was full of guilt for her daughter, which made people cry:

In 1929, Zhao Yunxiao walked to the execution site after feeding her child, what happened to her child

On March 26, 1929, after Zhao Yunxiao breastfed the child for the last time, he was escorted to the execution ground by the enemy. In the face of the butcher's knife raised high by the enemy, Zhao Yunxiao showed calmness and shouted to the crowd of onlookers: Down with the Kuomintang reactionaries", "Down with the traitors and traitors", "Long live the Communist Party of China"!

The enemy panicked, and after a burst of gunfire, Zhao Yunxiao fell in a pool of blood, she was only 23 years old when she died, and Chen Qiming, who had just reached the full moon, became an orphan without a father or mother.

Zhao Yunxiao's body was also destroyed by reactionaries after her sacrifice, and she failed to fulfill her wish to be buried with her husband Chen Jue, and she could not even leave a clear photo. Later, the state invited experts who were proficient in painting, and through the oral accounts of Zhao's parents, combined with the appearance of the women of the Zhao family, a portrait of the martyr Zhao Yunxiao was redrawn for future generations to admire.

After Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao died one after another, their daughter Zhao Qiming was taken to the home by her grandparents to raise her, but at the age of 4, Xiao Qiming died due to a serious illness, and her grandmother could only hold the child's thin body and cry.

After the death of his granddaughter, his grandfather Chen Jinghuan took charge of passing one of Chen Jue's younger brother's sons to Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao, naming him Chen Shuxun, and he would inherit Chen Jue's incense.

Under the coercion and lure of the enemy, Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao did not choose to surrender or compromise with the enemy, but still strengthened their revolutionary will to fight the enemy, showing the great spirit of the communists who were indomitable, this is the faith and choice of the revolutionary martyrs!

Today, our country is prosperous and strong, and the people live in peace and contentment, and all this is forged by the blood of revolutionary martyrs. They sacrificed their small family for the sake of everyone of the Chinese nation, and the words in the martyr Chen Jue's letter made people cry. We should remember their contributions, inherit their legacy, and contribute to China's prosperity!
