Developer Keen Software House has announced that the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of Space Engineers will launch in beta on May 11. The Standard Edition costs $28.49 and the Ultimate Edition costs $88.49.
The Standard Edition only includes the base game, while the Ultimate Edition includes all DLC, including more than 150 areas and over 20 skins and emotes. Users who pre-order either version will receive the DLC "Automatrons" as a free reward. At launch, the PS5/PS5 version of Space Engineer will support full cross-play with the existing Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC (Steam) versions.

Space Engineer is a sandbox game about engineering, building, exploring, and surviving in space and on planets. Players can build spaceships, wheeled vehicles, space stations, planetary outposts of all sizes and uses (civil and military), pilot ships, and explore planets in space and gather resources to survive. There are both innovative and survival modes in the game, and there is no limit to what can be built, utilized, and explored.
Space Engineer has a realistic, volume-based physics engine: everything in the game can be assembled, disassembled, damaged, and destroyed. The game can be played in single or multiplayer mode.
Space Engineer focuses on the construction and exploration aspects, but also works as a survival shooter. Instead of direct person-to-man combat, players can use creativity and engineering skills to build war machines and fortifications to survive in space and on planets. Space engineers should not focus on the military, but on the machines they build.
