The Chief Physicist Expert Workstation & Physicist Training Center was inaugurated

The summit unveiled the workstation of Professor Hu Yimin, a researcher at the Cancer Hospital of the Cancer Institute of Peking Union Medical College of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and the physicist training center. Wang Yajun, president of Changchun Cancer Hospital, said that the establishment of Hu Yimin's expert workstation and physicist training center is one of the achievements of the "hitting double high" (creating a high-level hospital and a high-level radiation therapy center) in Jilin Province, which will provide high-level medical technology support for the development of medical and health care in Jilin Province, and is of great significance for making up for the shortcomings of high-level talents in Jilin Province's medical resources, especially tumor radiation therapy, and accelerating the construction of healthy Jilin Province. The tumor radiotherapy artifact "Gamma Knife" settled in Changchun Cancer Hospital

The summit also announced an important measure, that is, the current domestic advanced tumor radiotherapy artifact "SnipeRayPlus Gamma Knife" was installed and debugged in Changchun Cancer Hospital, and officially began to be put into clinical use. This marks that Jilin Province is fully in line with international advanced technology in the field of head tumor treatment, and has made a major breakthrough in radiation therapy methods, providing new treatment options for cancer patients.

Professor Hu Yimin said that the launch of the intelligent radiotherapy system will open a new era of precision treatment of tumors in Jilin Province, which will greatly improve the level of tumor treatment technology, hoping that Changchun Cancer Hospital will take this as an opportunity to take the characteristics of tumor specialties as an advantage, to support advanced equipment, to take technological innovation as the driving force, to keep up with the frontier development direction of tumor treatment, actively carry out multidisciplinary joint diagnosis and treatment, and strive to broaden the service scope of tumor radiation therapy, with excellent technology, sophisticated equipment, and high-quality services. In the future, Changchun Cancer Hospital will prepare to build a proton therapy center, which plans to cover an area of 3,700 square meters, and intends to use imported proton accelerators to provide strong irradiation of tumor lesions through "stereotactic blasting" for tumors, while avoiding irradiation of normal tissues to maximize efficacy. Provide more accurate and efficient radiation therapy for cancer patients, so that more patients can benefit.
