Liverpool player Thiago Alcantara has admitted he needs more time to adapt to the Premier League but is confident in helping the team to a trophy this season.

The 30-year-old grew up in Barcelona's youth system and helped the team win four La Liga titles and a Champions League title.

He travelled to Bayern Munich in 2013 and won the Bundesliga title with the team for seven consecutive years and the Champions League in 2020.

In his first season at Anfield, Thiago started 20 Premier League games for the team.

But after Georginio Wijnaldum's trip to Paris Saint-Germain, competition in midfield has also weakened, so the Spain international hopes to get more opportunities this season.

The Reds beat Norwich City 2-0 in their first two Premier League games of the season and Burnley 3-0 before shaking chelsea 1-1 at home.

Thiago said: "I already have a year of Premier League experience now and it's a very competitive league. ”

'I initially thought it was difficult, but I think I've adapted now and I'm looking forward to helping the team to the trophy.
