R系TD

Hello Elders, I'm Anabel Cardo. R series TD has been exposed for half a year now, according to the practice of WG, this line should be added to the game in the next big version, that is, version 1.20.1, I estimate that it should be updated this month, but the time will be relatively later. In this article, I will give you a full overview of the R series TD lines in advance, and then look at the overall experience required to point out the various levels of vehicles, and briefly comment on these cars based on the available data. If you're sure you want to practice this line, you can plan ahead.

Looking forward to "R-series TD lines"

Overview of the route

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

Overview of the route

First of all, a route overview: the R series TD branch starts from the level 4 silver coin Zhongtan one-style middle battle (originally it should start from the level 6 four-style middle battle, but WG added two small TDs), you can point out the 75mm Type 99 main gun on the one-type middle battle, and then save 13550 experience on it. The remaining tanks are:

  • A tri-gun fighting vehicle of level 5
  • A Tier 6 experimental heavy artillery fighting vehicle
  • Type 7 four-gun vehicle
  • A five-type 2 gun fighting vehicle of level 8
  • A five-type 1 gun fighting vehicle of level 9
  • Level 10 five-type 3 gun fighting vehicle

I need to remind everyone that at present, it seems that the characteristics of the R series TD line are no turret, high bullet speed and high penetration gold AP shells, good gun control and reloading, limited depression angle/firing range, good flexibility but low extreme speed, good vision but slightly poor concealment value.

Level 5 TD: Triple-gun fighting vehicle

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

Triple-gun fighting vehicle

The first car on the R-Series TD line was a Class 5 triple-gun fighting vehicle. It is the only mass-produced real vehicle on this line, the chassis of the hull is taken from the 97 Middle War, and the main gun is replaced by a three-type seven-and-half gun modified from the Type 90 wild gun. From the perspective of game performance, it has a 150/194 cannon with 75 cannons, gold 194 with AP shells worn by coins, and throwing at level 5 is not particularly prominent, but it is also OK. Other data is more commonplace, in general, this guy is a common level 5 crispy little TD, there are not many highlights, and there is no special gameplay.

Level 6 TD: Experimental heavy artillery fighting vehicle

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

Ugly

The level 6 vehicle is called an experimental heavy artillery fighting vehicle, and this guy should be a reference to the "Ji-Ro" developed by the Japanese based on the chassis of the 95th heavy war. A fighting compartment was made at the tail of the 95th tank and 105 guns were installed. This guy's data is actually quite average, the firepower is indeed relatively strong, there is a 175/220 wear, 300 single damage 105 gun, and a large firing range of 36°, but only a depression angle of -5°. The main problem with this car is actually its chassis, and its power-to-weight ratio is only 8.92 horsepower / ton... The concealment value is okay, and the gameplay may be similar to "mine car". There are too many strong people in the level 6 TD, and this guy is really not outstanding. Its appearance is really not very good... It requires 29,250 experience to develop it from a Tier 5 tri-gun fighting vehicle, and 48,300 experience to develop it from a Tier 4 Type 1 combat vehicle.

Level 7 TD: Type 4 gun vehicle

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

This guy's data is quite eye-catching

The Level 7 vehicle is called the Type IV gun vehicle, which may have been drawn by later generations of Japanese with reference to some designs of tank destroyers No. IV or Cheetahs. Its stats are pretty impressive in the game. This guy's main gun is a 205/244 105 gun, a single shot of 320, gun control, firing range and other data are also OK, firepower can be said to be relatively strong. The most important thing is that the WG has done a bit out of line for its defense - the front of the fighting compartment is basically equivalent to more than 200, the gun shield and the outer circle are a solid 250, and the head of the hull is 125 mm and has a large angle, which is very jumpable. Its frontal weaknesses are only the top hatch and the lower head of the hull, and the sides are relatively brittle. And the maneuverability of the tank is not a problem except for the extreme speed low, and the concealment and visibility are also good. It can be said that if the four-gun vehicle can join the game with this data, then this guy may become the new king of Tier 7 TD. It requires 56320 experience to develop from a Level 6 experimental heavy artillery vehicle and 122120 experience to develop it from a Level 4 medium-sized combat vehicle.

Level 8 TD: Type 5 gun fighting vehicle

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

Small day tiger hunting

The level 8 vehicle is called the Type 5 Type 2 gun fighting vehicle, and this guy left a relatively detailed drawing. Its chassis is still the five-style middle battle, but the maximum use of the original design of the five-type middle battle is equivalent to directly welding the turret in place (enlarged into the fighting compartment), making such a tiger layout tank destroyer. This guy's full-body main gun is a 250/285 wear, 400 wounded 120 gun, the frontal defense of the fighting compartment is good, comparable to the tiger, and the head of the hull is also OK, but the head of the hull and the side are not very good. The captain's tower and rangefinder at the top of the fighting compartment are brittle, and this guy's concealment and field of view are pretty good, but the extreme speed of 30 will obviously make it a little... It's hard to play, I think it has its own advantages and disadvantages compared with the five-style tanji. It requires 97,300 experience to develop it from a Level 7 Type 4 gun vehicle, and 240420 experience to develop it from a Level 4 Type 1 medium-combat vehicle.

Level 9 TD: Type 5 Type 1 gun fighting vehicle

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

It's pretty rough

The level 9 vehicle is called the Type 5 Type 1 gun fighting vehicle, this guy changed the fighting compartment to rear, the main gun was also upgraded to 149 guns, single shot damage 650, penetration depth 290/325, in terms of firepower except no turret, everything else is very good. It can be said that the characteristics of this guy are the commonality of the R series advanced TD, it has a 300 mm thick vertical face, the gun shield is 350 mm thick, and the equivalent on the head of the hull is also 250 mm. The weak points are still the head and sides of the car, and it is easy to be bloodied by the enemy's broken leg at a slight angle. The tank is still dragged down by the extreme speed of 32, and the concealment value and vision are also good, and it is a qualified level 9 TD. It requires 152,200 experience to develop it from the Tier 8 Type 5 Type 2 gun fighting vehicle, and 441,620 experience to develop it from the Tier 4 Type 1 medium combat vehicle.

Level 10 TD: Type 5 gun fighting vehicle

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

It's pretty rough

The "big brother" of level 10 is the five-type 3 gun fighting vehicle, which can be said to have taken the characteristics of the R series TD to the extreme. The main gun is the 700 single damage 149 gun, the penetration depth has been increased to 305/360 mm, and the gold bullet has a bullet speed of 1150. Its gun control has been further enhanced, the rate of fire is also good, although the firing range and depression angle are still like that, but its firepower is really nothing to be picky about. The flexibility of the tank is still very good, it will still be dragged down by the extreme speed of 35, its defense has not improved compared to level 9, but it is still a little regressed, the vertical face is still 300 mm, the thickness of the head of the large plate is not as good as the equivalent of level 9, but the ricochet ability is stronger. Its concealment value is slightly lower, but the 400-meter field of view is still good. It requires 218,700 experience to develop it from a Level 9 Type 5 Type 1 gun fighting vehicle, and 724,320 experience to develop it from a Level 4 Type 1 medium combat vehicle.

My thoughts

WOT Information丨R Series New TD Line Experience statistics + preliminary evaluation of the route required to develop all 6 tanks

Yes, one option

I personally feel that the R series TD under the current data conditions still has a lot of shining points, and they are indeed very bright in the category of traditional TD. However, compared with T110E3 and Dabaitu, the R series TD lacks a trace of extremes, and is more comprehensive ability. Of course, this is just my own current thinking based on their current data conditions. Before the stage of formal service, everything is unknown. My personal advice is to watch me step on the pit and explore how they are (anyway, that is, the days after the update, there will be no delay much), and then make plans. Version 1.20.1 is still enough for everyone to play overall, and as for the update time, it should be mid-to-late April 2023. I am Anabel, Cardo, always thinking about the vital interests of our players. If you like my car review, please also retweet and share the publicity to let more commanders go home.
