Trafficking in persons in Myanmar has been a problem for a long time
Every year, thousands of people are forced into exile abroad and subjected to exploitation and abuse. These include women, children and vulnerable groups who are abducted, deceived or sold overseas and then forced into illegal labour or sex work. This phenomenon is particularly prevalent in rural Myanmar, where many families sell their children to traffickers because of financial hardship.

Some scammers scam people over the phone or online, scamming them out of their money. These scams involve various fields, such as impersonating government officials, counterfeiting bank cards, and many more. These scams have become a major cancer in Myanmar society, not only damaging the country's image, but also profoundly hurting people's trust and sense of security.
However, these problems are not without solutions. The Government should strengthen its efforts to combat trafficking and fraud, as well as strengthen public education and prevention. At the same time, all sectors of society should also actively participate in anti-trafficking and fraud actions.
In this beautiful country, we need to protect ourselves and our children and grandchildren so that they can live in a more just and secure environment.
