Dezhong Hot Spring is located in Dezhong Village, Menba Township, Mozhugongka County, Lhasa, Tibet, with an altitude of nearly 4,500 meters and 73 kilometers from the county seat of Mozhugongka.

Master Padmasambhava and Ishitsogya Buddha used to practice in the Dezhong Mountain retreat behind the hot spring, when some ghosts tried their best to prevent the retreat of the lotus master and the Buddha mother to remove the obstacles of the demons, but because there were many caves in the mountain, no matter how the ghosts looked for it, they could not find the hidden cave where the lotus master and the Buddha mother practiced, and they could not make trouble.

Dezhong Mountain, where the meditation cave is located, is therefore known as the Dezhong Treasure Sacred Mountain, and practitioners can receive great blessings from the lotus master and the Buddha mother as long as they stay in the practice cave for a while.

In addition, it is also said that in the past, there was a local demon who conjured a deep spring and filled it with poisonous water, hoping to flood the creatures in this place with poisonous water.

At that time, the lotus master was practicing in Dezhongshan, and when he learned about it, he threw out a vajra pestle, punched a large hole in the ground, guided the poisonous water to flow out, and blocked the source of the poison under a stupa.

That stupa was located in front of the hotel attached to today's Dekchoji Temple, and the base base was different from ordinary stupas and had a star-like light.

At the same time, in order to prevent the poisonous water from endangering the living beings, the lotus master put a lot of ore into the ground to turn the poisoned water into a hot spring with moderate heat and healing power.

The hot spring water is generally pale cyan and crystal clear, but locals say that on different auspicious days, the hot spring will take on various colors such as milky white, light yellow, and light red.
