Many people who want to learn cost may ask: "Is it difficult to make a cost, how to get started with cost?" ”
In fact, the introduction of cost is not difficult, but everyone has not found a direction, there is no systematic understanding of cost, and there is a lot of drawings, quotas and calculation specifications to be frightened. In fact, don't be afraid, I summarized it, as long as you do three steps, then you can get started. Which three steps are specific?
Step 1: Map
When we get a set of drawings, we must first understand it, and only after we understand it can we do the next work. (I feel more deeply about this step, because I didn't learn well in college, but I still studied architecture very carefully, so it is not very difficult to read pictures.) People who study architecture should have a certain ability to read drawings, so it is easier to learn the cost. For building construction drawings, the state has also formulated relevant architectural standard design atlases, all of which use the flat method to show a whole project (the flat method is the overall representation of the plane). Therefore, we must be able to understand the flat method and understand the construction drawings. It is said that the construction drawings are the "language" of the construction project, before calculating, we must carefully familiarize ourselves with the drawings, carefully read the design instructions, do not look at the front of a large number of words are nonsense, those are the intention of the designer. The basic idea of drawing is to understand the designer's intentions. Generally speaking, first roughly read it, and then read it intensively, to form a three-dimensional shape of the project in the mind, and know the structural form expressed in the drawing.
Step 2 Take stock
Familiar with the content of the quota and the calculation rules of the quota. Why is there no list calculation rule here, because the list calculation rules are much simpler than the quota, basically the quota you can see through, the list you can read through it. List pricing is mainly a set of quota sub-headings.
In the process of taking, in fact, it is closely related to the map. This step is also a step in which you break down the drawings, because you have to figure out the drawings step by step. And where should we start calculating? Many beginners should have such doubts. Here I want to tell you that you count according to the order of the quota, so that you will feel more organized, and it is not easy to have the problem of missing items.
Counting is a hands-on process, you don't say look at the quota, feel that the content is mastered, do not do the hands-on calculation. In fact, this is not right, it is very important to calculate the amount of hands, you have to do some small cases while looking at the quota, for example, if you see the foundation of the beam and pillar, you find a beam, a pillar, a small case of the foundation, and calculate it yourself. Don't think it's useless, this is a great way for a beginner to test whether you really master and can apply quotas. Some of you think you understand, but you don't know where to start when you really start. Here I would like to thank my classmate, she has been doing costs after graduation, I asked her before, she sent me some cases, said that she found it very useful. In fact, in today's society where interests are supreme, those masters will not pay attention to us, you have questions to ask, they may answer you, but if you want them to be able to selflessly dedicate like school teachers, it is impossible. I believe that this is the case in many industries. Like when I stayed in the construction unit before, I still found a relationship to go in, and the boss also took good care of me, and also arranged a teacher to take me, so that I could learn from the master, but it was also a question-and-answer type. In fact, what really teaches us is that the beginners who learn with us make progress together in mutual learning and mutual discussion. Often, you have a problem, as long as they understand, they will patiently give you an answer. What's more, it is really not difficult to get started, we don't need a master, all we need is a guide who can patiently tell us a small case.
Step 3 Arbitrage (Pricing)
The third step is also the most important step, in fact, as long as you can complete the first two steps, you are even a cost entry, because you have just entered the company's small cost, the company will only let you calculate the amount, as for the arbitrage is the responsibility of those teachers. I don't mean to say you don't need to understand, which is more important than the importance of the set. The set price can actually best reflect the level of a cost manager, and the list made by a good cost manager, whether it is the characteristics of the project, the work content or the quota, can make people see it very clearly.
In fact, every project, the person who counts is different, and the results obtained are definitely different. Moreover, the policies vary from place to place, and the results are even more varied. Because the cost can be error-oriented. Of course, this error has a range, and it is not possible to fool through a random number. So you have to know how to adjust the price, in order to make your offer more accurate. This requires you to have a good idea in mind and rely on the accumulation of ordinary times. What kind of project corresponds to what kind of price, and there must be a spectrum in mind, not too outrageous. So this is why the senior cost engineer is more sought-after, because the price he calculates is definitely closer to the actual than the novice.
As long as you master the above three steps, then congratulations, you have become a qualified cost engineer.
