"Sea of Light" developer Failbetter Games' "London Falls" spin-off romance simulation "Rose Mask" has announced a new trailer. The game was originally scheduled to be released last fall, but the studio said it postponed the game until April in order not to put too much pressure on employees. In the latest trailer, it was officially announced that the game will be postponed again and will be released on June 9.

On Steam, the studio issued an announcement saying that the delay was mainly due to bugs in the game's UI. Failbetter says that while they initially thought the game would work well with a regular "visual novel interface," playtesting suggested that changes were needed to be made to "guide players through a vast network of choices."
Although these changes have been made, very common changes are bound to introduce bugs. The announcement said the features improved the odds of bugs "in a game with such a flexible and random narrative."
The announcement goes on to say that because players "can meet characters in different orders, important information can be conveyed in different dialogues, the way parts of the story are connected together can vary greatly." "The studio must consider" the huge number of variables and ensure that the combination is correct and satisfactory. "Because these changes are a lot of work, the developers need an additional two months to fix them.
The game's Steam page has not yet announced the price of the game, and Chinese Simplified is not currently supported.
