Art comes from reality, but is higher than reality, the film truly recreates the Mekong River tragedy in 2011, two Chinese cargo ships were hijacked by unknown armed men on the Mekong River, and 13 Chinese crew members died. Soon, the Nao Kang gang, which had been entrenched in the Golden Triangle for a long time, came into the sight of the police, robbing boats and doing all kinds of evil.
They have taken advantage of Myanmar's long-standing political turmoil to become kings, especially in Shan and Kayin states, and even protected by local warlords, and it is very difficult to pull out this cancer in one fell swoop.
Although the process was tortuous, the result was very happy, and with the coordinated operation and close cooperation of the Chinese and foreign police, all the main criminals of the Nao Kang gang were arrested, and the lives lost were comforted.
Similar incidents are not an isolated case, turning back the dusty history, as early as more than 20 years ago, in 1998, such a horrific tragedy occurred. Like Nao Kang, the culprit of that incident is also a foreigner, the difference is that he and his accomplices crossed the border to commit a bloody crime in China, and he had the audacity to openly challenge the bottom line of the mainland judiciary, so who is he and what is his final outcome?
An unusual trip to sea
In August and September 1998, a fishing boat off the coast of Guangzhou was preparing to go fishing as usual, which may have been another dull and boring day for these fishermen, accustomed to the wind and sun.
As soon as the sky was dark, the fishing boat raised its anchor, looking at the rising sun on the sea, everyone felt that today must be full of harvest, and the fishermen rhythmically shouted the trumpet, doing the preparation work that I don't know how many times it was repeated.

Fishermen often talk about this after work, but they don't have much time to think about it, because behind each of them is a family, a wife, children, and a responsibility.
Near noon, the fishermen took out the dry food they carried, hastily coped, and soon it was time to collect the nets and return to port.

After on-site examination, the body was tied with a number of thick iron chains and traces of being eaten by sharks, apparently dead for a long time, and the victim was killed in the most cruel way before his death.

All indications are that the Changsheng may have been hijacked.
So the police conducted a DNA test on the recently recovered body, and sure enough, the body found was from the crew of the Changsheng.
In fact, as early as half a month ago, the police in Shanwei, Guangdong, received reliable information that a group of Shanwei people who contracted anti-smuggling boats in Fujian pretended to be border guards and hijacked a foreign freighter in the open sea.
There are all indications that the truth of Changshenglun's disappearance is about to be revealed.
Follow the vine and open the net
According to the information provided by the informant, the Shanwei police quickly locked up a person named Huang Daming, who was the owner of the anti-smuggling ship that was rumored to have been damaged, and after an urgent meeting of the Shanwei police to study, they thought that this clue was very important and immediately deployed the investigation of Huang Daming.
Several leaders of the Guangdong Provincial Department also came to attend the meeting, and coincidentally, these veteran policemen who had experienced hundreds of battles were the first-class heroes who solved the case of Zhang Ziqiang, the thief king of the century.
On the evening of December 24, they secretly met with the leaders of the company where the Changsheng was located, and all the clues were put together, the missing Changsheng, the damaged anti-smuggling ship, and the floating corpses on the sea of Shanwei, it seemed that it was imminent to find the anti-smuggling ship.
On December 30, the working group responsible for investigating the Changsheng incident selected crack forces to go to Dongshan Port in Dongshan County, Fujian Province. Reconnaissance of situations where smuggling ships can be detected.

The case seems to have opened up.
The ship's owner, Huang Daming, seemed to have heard some wind noises, and on the night of the 30th, he sneaked back to Shanwei in the night, preparing to escape, and the scouts who had been waiting for a long time fell from the sky, and Huang Daming, who was still sleeping, was caught on the spot.
According to Huang's confession after he was arrested, an Indonesian named Sonway and a Shanwei native named Weng Siliang entangled a group of local social idlers and hijacked an outer vessel on the high seas in mid-November 1998 by borrowing his anti-smuggling boat, but Huang Daming himself did not participate.
The police speculated that the group was likely to be hiding in the Luohu area of Shenzhen, and the case was urgent, and investigators escorted Huang Daming to Shenzhen overnight.
With the cooperation of the local police in Shenzhen, Huang Weizhong, a backbone of the gang, was quickly arrested, and based on his identification of the ship's pictures, it was determined that the hijacked ship was the Changsheng.
The case has made a breakthrough, and Huang Weizhong also confessed that Jia Hongwei, who worked as a security guard in a song and dance hall in Shenzhen, was one of the bosses on board.
The police found a phone number marked Ah Wei in Huang Weizhong's mobile phone address book, and the telecommunications department confirmed that the owner of the number was Jia Hongwei.
The police set up control of the dance hall, and a large net of chase and escape has been opened, waiting for the fish to take the bait.
By monitoring Jia Hongwei's mobile phone, the police basically figured out the location of the people involved in Shenzhen and could close the net.
The Devil's Final Fall
Jia Hongwei, a person with a meticulous mind and a certain anti-reconnaissance ability, had been smuggled to Myanmar as a mercenary for several years in his early years, plus he had a gun in his hand, and the risk of arrest was extremely high.

In hindsight, if Sonway had gone ahead as planned, the case would have been really difficult to solve.
At noon on the 16th, several bandits came to the waters near Kaohsiung, Taiwan on an anti-smuggling ship rented from Huang Daming and entered their line of sight through the telescope Changsheng.
Isn't it a godsend that the freighter has an extremely deep draft, is apparently loaded with cargo, and still flying the Panamanian flag?
Sonway pretended to be a coast guard and immediately directed his men to approach the Changsheng.
Two hours later, they caught up with the Changsheng, and Sonway had a flag signal that the Changsheng was parked for inspection.

Originally, they were all ready to give up the robbery, but their anti-smuggling ship was badly damaged, and it was obviously impossible to drive the ship back to the port.

The pirate first pulled up the 44-year-old captain Jin Geng, put a black hood on him, and took him to the back deck, Captain Huang, who has many years of sailing experience, felt something strange as soon as he came out of the cabin, the ship did not stop, it was still moving, what he didn't know was that someone behind him had raised a thick iron rod, it was the pirate leader Sonway.
He slammed Captain Huang on the back of the head, and Captain Huang immediately fainted, and the vicious Sonway beckoned his accomplices to wrap the ship's iron chains around Captain Huang's body and push him into the sea.
Just like that, two, three..., the massacre continued until the next morning, when all 23 crew members were killed.
