V filed for the "CS2" trademark in the United States to associate with the Counter-Strike brand

On March 14, V provided the USPTO with a trademark application called "CS2," a new intellectual property associated with the Counter-Strike and CS:GO brands. This latest development is probably the strongest evidence that V is working on a new Counter-Strike project, although it's unclear whether it's an Origin 2-engine version of CS:GO or a brand new Counter-Strike game.

Earlier this month, NVIDIA's driver update code leaked the game configuration file of "CS:GO2", and then industry insiders broke the news that "CS:GO2" will improve and optimize the game quality and support 128 Tick servers, which will begin testing as early as March this year, and no later than April 1.
