I heard that there is a "Wangxian Valley" in the cliffs of Jiangxi's rolling mountains, with its unique residential style and dreamy scenery, it is a paradise-like wonderland. Therefore, we, the restless retired old people, also had the idea to go to this dream-like "Wangxian Valley" to dip in the fairy spirit.
After saying and leaving, I met 18 friends who used to work in a group company, and organized an 11-day tour itinerary in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Ganwan through Shanghai Ctrip Travel Agency, including arranging to stay in Wangxian Valley for one night, and booked 9 rooms in advance.
At 1 p.m. on March 14, we arrived at the Wangxiangu Service Center for check-in.
The lobby of Wangxian Valley Service Center is located near the bottom area of the canyon, and its many tourist attractions, characteristic commercial streets and event venues are located in the canyon bottom area surrounded by mountains.

Most of the accommodation in Wangxian Valley is located in the lower part of the cliff not far from the valley floor, where visitors can look up at the mirage of the cliffs surrounded by clouds and mist, and the wonders of golden houses hanging from the cliffs. A small part of the accommodation in Wangxian Valley is spread over the middle of the steep cliff: golden huts hang halfway up the cliffside, and long stone stairs like a necklace connecting the huts on the cliff wall, as if putting a golden necklace on the cliff, decorating the cliff cliff wall surrounded by green is beautiful and charming.
If the beauty at the bottom of the canyon is a paradise on earth, it is a wonderland on earth. Then, the golden house on this cliff is the immortal residence, and the cloud swirling on the top of the cliff must be the legendary paradise.
Considering that we are all elderly retirees and we all drag large suitcases, we tried our best to put us all in District 1~2 closest to the service center when arranging accommodation. Unfortunately, there is only one remaining room in District 1, which is closest to the service center, and the remaining 8 rooms are distributed in District 2. Although the accommodation in District 2 is not far from the lobby, there are more than 100 stone stairs with seven turns and eight turns, and hundreds of them.
Because it was still early for the official check-in time, we took advantage of the sunshine to start exploring the beautiful scenery of Wangxian Valley before checking into the room.
The tour guide led us to visit many fairyland-like attractions in Wangxian Valley, which attracted us deeply.
The woods of Wangxian Valley are full of life, streams flowing, small bridges, rocks, and flowing water, like poetry in an ancient poem.

At nearly 4 o'clock in the afternoon, we returned to the service center to officially check in. Eight of our stays were spread out not far from the valley floor, and we felt a bit heavy when we were told that the check-in room was led and assisted by a waiter, but the luggage had to be sorted out by itself before checking out.
The service center arranged for two students to lead us to find a room. One of the waiters is a middle-aged uncle, and the other is a young man in his 20s. The two of us looked at the number of two of our rooms, grabbed our suitcases and walked towards the bottom of the mountain with our four teammates, while the rest of us waited patiently in place.
About ten minutes later, the two waiters rushed back, so they took four more teammates with them.
I was placed at the end, and I saw the young man who had rushed back and forth three times, a little breathlessly, came to me, looked at my room card, and then picked up my suitcase and left, followed by my lover and me.
The young man walked briskly down the winding stairs with his suitcase in his suitcase, and the two of us followed cautiously. It's a bit tiring to think about walking the stairs empty, and tomorrow morning you have to carry your suitcase to climb this 100-meter staircase, is this okay? I can't help but be a little worried when I think about it.
On the way, I met several young people who did not carry suitcases or duffel bags, only a backpack on their shoulders. I suddenly realized: this Wangxian Valley should not be a place for our old people to stay, it only belongs to the place where young people seek their dreams.
The tour guide also realized that it was a big problem to carry his own suitcase tomorrow morning, considering that we are all elderly, especially several elderly people who are weak, so he asked the service center to provide services. After communication, the service center promised to arrange several waiters to help us carry our suitcases before 8:15 a.m. tomorrow (departure at 8:30).
My accommodation in District 2 2113
The accommodation I stayed at was about 300 meters from the service center, with about 200 steps up and down the stone stairs, and about 600 meters from the valley floor block, with about 300 stone stairs. There is almost no platform in front of the accommodation, and there is a stone staircase right outside.
In the evening, the tourists arrived early in the center of the valley floor square. When night falls, the lights of the street are twinkling, and you can walk on the bluestone slab to relax, feeling a kind of inner peace and comfort.
Looking at the antique buildings and dazzling shops lined with green bricks and brown tiles, you will instantly feel like you have traveled back to the ancient city.

While waiting for the song and dance performance, I found that there were many elderly people in the crowd, and I was a little curious, could it be that they also live in Wangxian Valley?
I chatted with the old people on the side and learned that they also came to travel with the group, but they did not live in Wangxian Valley, but lived in a homestay not far from Wangxian Valley, saying that there was no elevator in Wangxian Valley, and the travel relied on two legs, and the old man could not eat at all. Ha, understand people!

The party ended, the crowd gradually dispersed, and many tourists flocked to the girls of the cabaret to take photos.
The next morning, we were scheduled to rush to the next attraction. The waiter came to our rooms by 8:15 a.m. to help with suitcases. Maybe the waiter forgot, I waited until 8:20, and still no waiter came, and called the other teammates, saying that only me and another teammate had not yet arrived at the lobby.
Three minutes passed, and there was still no waiter coming, so in order not to affect everyone's itinerary, I decided to carry my suitcase and rush to the lobby.
After all, it is more than 70 years old, although I used to work as a porter when I was young, but the years are not spared, carrying a suitcase of about 50 pounds on my shoulders, quickly climbing the stairs winding up and down hundreds of meters, sweating for a while, panting, tired, can only rely on will, think of the difficult years when a porter carried 200 pounds of large bags on his shoulders to take the springboard of the truck.
Memories of bitter sweetness sometimes really worked, and before 8:30, I finally arrived at the lobby meeting point, but the whole person was tired and almost fell down.
Another teammate had a much the same experience as me, carrying his suitcase to the lobby, tired and unable to speak. Our two brothers and brothers, who had been forgotten by the waiter, looked at each other's pale faces and could only shake their heads and sigh speechlessly.
The temperature in the morning in the mountains was low, perhaps because of the wind chill after sweating profusely, and I started coughing that night, coughing and not sleeping well for a night.
Fortunately, a friend in the group, who used to be the head of the health department and was good at the Chinese medicine department, saw that I had a cough, and immediately let me take the Chinese proprietary medicine "Golden Buckwheat Cereal" that he carried with him, taking 5 tablets in a row, and the cough was miraculously better. Another teammate who suffered the same thing as me, although he did not cough, suddenly developed symptoms of dizziness, his blood pressure was a little high, presumably caused by overwork. Alas, when you are old, you will actually suffer this calamity.
Think of the experience of climbing the winding mountain stairs with your suitcase that day; Think of the anxious and helpless look on your lover's face that day; It was as if I had a nightmare, and I still have palpitations in retrospect.
"Wangxian Valley" is indeed a beautiful wonderland and worthy of everyone to experience, but it only belongs to young people, and for us old people, we can only look at it from a distance, because it only belongs to the "Immortal Valley" in our dreams.
The beautiful Wangxian Valley gave me dreamy memories, but it also gave me a palpitating pain. Perhaps, this is life: experiencing pain in enjoying pleasure and gaining pleasure in experiencing pain.
