The IOC Young Leaders Programme is part of the IOC's long-term commitment to supporting youth to become social change-makers through sport, while strengthening the role of sport in contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Through grassroots sports initiatives and sustainable business models, the project aims to provide weekly professional training and expert mentoring to selected youth leaders, enabling them to harness the power of sport to bring about positive change in their communities. The project promotes Olympic values and principles, such as respect, tolerance, peace and gender equality, while also addressing specific local issues.
