The cause of the disabled is an important part of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Protecting the rights and interests of persons with disabilities, giving play to their potential, enabling every disabled person to participate in social life on an equal footing, and embodying the value of persons with disabilities themselves are important symbols of social civilization and progress. General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that "the disabled are a special difficult group and a key group of social security and public services, which need special care and attention." Since the Seventh Congress of the Dali Disabled Persons' Federation, under the correct leadership of the Party Committee and the government, the vast number of disabled people with disabilities have been determined to achieve their ideals in life, and in the practice of fighting a decisive battle against poverty, winning a decisive victory in all-round moderate prosperity and rural revitalization, tenacious struggle, positive enterprising, and hard work have emerged, making positive contributions to the high-quality economic development of the whole state, showing the style of the times of self-improvement, self-respect and self-reliance. At the same time, a large number of advanced collectives and individuals who care for and care for the disabled and are devoted to the development of the cause of the disabled have emerged from all levels and departments throughout the state. Their character and spirit are admirable, and their advanced deeds are worthy of publicity and learning. In order to publicize the advanced models of disabled persons, carry forward the positive energy of society, and create a good atmosphere in which the whole society cares about and supports the development of the cause of disabled persons, the prefecture people's government has decided to commend 100 models of self-improvement for disabled persons, including Li Chunwang, 55 advanced collectives for work with disabled persons, including the Dali Disabled Persons' Federation, and 72 advanced individuals for work with disabled persons, including Li Hongbing.
