Editor's Note: In recent years, some music talent shows in the mainland have gradually become popular on both sides of the strait, especially by young people, and have become a link for promoting cross-strait music exchanges and cultural development, promoting interaction and understanding among young people on both sides of the strait, and strengthening emotional exchanges between people on both sides of the strait.

From October 30th to November 4th, a number of popular students of the well-known mainland music program "China New Songs" will bring 8 wonderful performances in 4 cities, 5 universities and 3 communities in Taiwan. Classic songs will be reproduced on the stage, bringing an audio-visual feast to the people of Taiwan; at the same time, the "good voices" from both sides of the strait will also sing on the same stage to give voice to the dreams of the younger generation.

"China New Song" is a large-scale original professional music program in mainland China, formerly known as the "Voice of China" series. Since 2016, the series has no longer introduced foreign copyrights, but adopted the original model and officially changed its name to "China's New Song".

This time, the music exchange journey of "China's New Song" in Taiwan was enthusiastically pursued by local young people, and a whirlwind of "good voice" was blown. In fact, before "China's New Song", the successful four-season "The Voice of China" has cultivated a large number of fans in Baodao.

On January 3, 2015, the "Consistent Voice of China Taipei Concert" was held in Taipei. This is the debut of "The Voice of China" in Taiwan. The concert almost included Wu Moxuan, Zhang Bichen, Zhang Hexuan and all the star students of the first three seasons of "The Voice of China", and the applause of the audience warmed the winter night in Taipei. After the performance, the response from the Taiwanese media and fans was very enthusiastic. In June 2015, the "Voice of China Taiwan Campus Tour" went deep into Taiwanese universities for the first time, building a bridge of communication between young people on both sides of the strait in the name of music. On November 18 of the same year, the concert of "The Voice of China Taiwan Campus Tour" was held at Taipei City University. Popular singers from both sides of the strait sang famous songs on the same stage and were sought after by Taiwanese students on the spot. Students from Taiwanese colleges and universities made their own "Voice" promotional videos to be played on campus, and more fans spent more than 3 hours from Tainan to Taipei to watch concerts.

From the audience analysis, the fan base of "China's New Song" on the island is mainly a young group represented by college students. Whether it is a concert or a campus tour, every time the "Voice" students go to a place, they have aroused the warm pursuit and active participation of local youth, and the campus auditoriums are full and the on-site interaction climaxes. Young people on both sides of the strait have relatively close age stages, growth experiences, and psychological characteristics, and have similar needs and hobbies in entertainment and leisure, which are easy to resonate and arouse empathy. In the name of music, "China's New Song" is building a communication bridge between young people on both sides of the strait, so that popular music can become a link and carrier for young people on both sides of the strait to express their emotions and communicate their hearts.

In recent years, mainland variety shows have developed rapidly, and their program forms, capital investment, advertising revenue, and influence are mostly beyond the reach of Taiwanese variety shows. At the same time, Taiwan Variety also has long-term advantages in terms of talent, experience, creativity and so on. The Taiwanese elements in "China New Song" are very obvious: the music instructors yu Chengqing and Jay Chou in the program are all from Taiwan; and the performance of some Taiwanese students is also very eye-catching, for example, Guan Lingzhi, who participated in the "China New Song" Taiwan tour, has won the Best Guest Singer Award of the "Taiwan Golden Melody Awards" for many years, and is known as "Taiwan's Lola Feiqi", "Dictionary of the Music Scene", and "Jiang Hui of the Hakka Language Circle". This time, she started again on the stage of "New Song" and once again became popular in the Chinese music scene.

It should be said that "China's New Song" was born in cross-strait cultural exchanges and cooperation and complementary advantages; and the success of "China's New Song" on both sides of the strait has also promoted cross-strait music exchanges and promoted cross-strait cultural development, which is of positive significance for promoting the interaction and understanding of young people on both sides of the strait and strengthening the emotional exchanges between the people on both sides of the strait. It is hoped that the "new songs" between the two sides of the strait can become "good voices" and spread positive energy. (Zhao Fengyan/Text)
