Topic: Path Selection of Industrial Development in Contemporary China: A Two-Way Analysis of Economic Thought and Historical Experience

Introduction: This study focuses on the path choice formed by industrial development at the level of economic thought and economic system in the 70 years since the founding of New China, explores the background, formation reasons, logical relationships, effects and feedback in practice of these ideas and systems, and finally restores and analyzes the generation mechanism and development evolution of the path choice of China's industrial development. The study divides the economic thinking of industrial development path selection since new China into three stages, namely, the period of economic autonomy from 1949 to 1978, the period of economic exportation from 1979 to 2003 and the period of independent innovation from 2004 to 2019, and points out that the internal logic of path selection lies in the process of shaping competitive advantage, to exerting comparative advantage, and then to shaping competitive advantage. This research hopes to deepen the understanding of the exploration and practice of China's industrial development from a new perspective- the two-way combination of economic history and economic thought, so as to provide reference for the future path of China's industrial development and how developing countries around the world can achieve economic development with industrial development as the core.

Topic: Research on the Composition, Characteristics and Governance of Financial Risks in the Banking Industry in Modern Shanghai (1911-1937)

Introduction: A deep understanding of the historical characteristics of risk in financial centers can better prevent them before they occur. Shanghai's urban history experience is particularly important in understanding and managing financial risks, but lacks systematic research. The development of the banking industry depends on the existence of risks, and the more developed the financial functions of cities, the more complex and changeable the risks. The boom and development of financial markets and the challenges of risk always exist at the same time, reflecting the dual nature of the problem of financial risk. The risks and crises of the modern Shanghai financial market have an important impact and typicality in the development of modern Chinese finance. This study proposes to analyze the occurrence, content, structure and characteristics of financial risks in modern Shanghai through classification research, reconstruct the risk mechanism and characteristics of the modern Shanghai financial market from historical facts, and then deeply understand the historical characteristics of market risks in Shanghai as a financial center, and summarize historical experience.
