At the end of 2019, Zhang Haotian, a new generation of "post-90s" pianists, went to Antarctica to present a special performance for the scientific expedition personnel. On the way to Antarctica, he passed through Buenos Aires, Argentina, and he was touched by the exoticism and local cultural history along the way.

Argentina is the farthest country from China, in the world of travelers, there is no far away place that cannot be reached, if you can not measure the distance of 20,000 kilometers with your feet, then let the sound take you to the other end. After returning to China, Zhang Haotian opened a "time and space travel special train" with the theme of "time and space traveler". On January 22, the special train will run to the Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

On his journey to Antarctica, Zhang Spent two days in Argentina, passing by the largest local library, "As soon as I walked in, I saw Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, and behind that sheet music was the collection of works by Piazzolla's teacher Alberto Sinatra. ”

Zhang Haotian liked Theastra's work, and meeting them in Argentina made him feel as if he were a guide of fate.

After researching the music of the two composers, Zhang Haotian chose Piazola's "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" as the "starting point" of the "time travel train". It was created by Piazzolla in homage to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, with four movements of spring, summer, autumn and winter corresponding to four seasons, showing a completely different musical mood.

In addition, Zhang Haotian will also bring two other tango works of Piazzola, "Forgetting" and "Free Tango", which bring together classical and jazz and other musical elements, in addition to Argentina's own national characteristics, but also full of a modern style and mysterious color.

In order to reflect the inheritance, Zhang Haotian also specially selected The Works of Sinastra, such as "Argentine Dance" and "Piano Sonata No. 1". Sinastra's work combines traditional and modern creative techniques, creating a typical Argentine national color based on the use of the "twelve-tone sequence" creative technique.

This year coincides with the 100th anniversary of the birth of "Tango Father" Piazzola, and also coincides with the 210th anniversary of the birth of "King of the Piano" Liszt, in addition to commemorating Piazzola, Zhang Haotian will also set aside space to commemorate Liszt and open the "time travel train" from the Americas to Europe.

To this end, Zhang Haotian chose Liszt's piano song "Don Juan's Memories" based on Mozart's opera "Don Juan". The opera Don Juan, which lasted about two and a half hours, was adapted by Liszt and became a short piano piece. This work requires the player to quickly cross the keyboard with both hands in a very short period of time, the technique is difficult, the scene is grand, and it has been called "one of the most difficult piano pieces in the world" by posterity.

Zhang Haotian liked Liszt's innovations. In his view, the works created by liszt, Beethoven and other masters in their time were the most popular at that time, "We are now called classical music, but because it has been passed down through a long time, it has become a classic." In this era, we must not forget the attempts at cross-border and innovation. Based on this musical understanding, he hopes to have an experimental spirit and a sense of innovation, and to do something "different."
