NBA 450 Players Lakers: Championship Point Guard Lajan Rondo

With three days left in the regular season, the staffing of each team has been basically determined.

Today's introduction to you is the Lakers championship point guard: Lajan Rondo

Rajon Rondo was born February 22, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky (now 35) and plays as a point guard. Rondo was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 21st pick in the 1st round of the 2006 NBA Draft, and was subsequently traded to the Boston Celtics, winning the NBA championship with the Celtics in 2008.

Rondo remained tepid at the Celtics for the next few years, trading their point guard Rondo for 14 years, and the Celtics have been on the road to rebuilding ever since.

In 2014, Rondo briefly joined the Dallas Mavericks, breaking up in a hurry due to a disagreement with coach Carlisle.

In 2015, he signed with the Sacramento Kings partner Cousins, the record did not meet expectations, the following year moved to the Chicago Bulls, Rondo's state was not as good as before, and the Bulls cut Rondo after 69 games.

In 2017, he joined the New Orleans Pelicans briefly partner David and led the team to the playoffs.

He joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, becoming a teammate with James for the first time, and in 2020, with Anthony Davis joining, Rondo won the NBA championship again with the Lakers.

He then joined the Atlanta Hawks, then opened the road to displacement and returned to the Los Angeles Lakers on August 31, 2021.

Then looking back at Rondo's development route, it can be roughly seen that Rondo is a player with golden oil attributes, basketball IQ is extremely prominent, and there is no lack of market.

In the early Celtics, under the protection of the Big Three, Rondo played many brilliant performances, and Rondo made 77 appearances for the Celtics in the championship season, averaging 10.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, becoming the team's championship point guard.

With the Big Three leaving the team, the team cultivated it as its core, and in the 2014-15 season, he made 22 appearances for the Celtics, averaging 31.7 minutes per game, scoring 8.2 points, 10.7 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals, and finally traded Rondo due to lack of leadership ability and the impact of injuries.

The data above shows that Rondo's scoring ability is relatively weak, the passing awareness and the big picture are relatively good, and he is a traditional organizational point guard, which also laid the foundation for his subsequent development.

As the season begins, Rondo's role on the team seems to me to be the organizational core of the second team and the formulator of the team's tactics, and the role off the court is greater than the role on the court, which is also the role of the Lakers to re-sign Rondo.

This season, the Lakers in addition to James's thick eyebrows, are basically new players, so the team definitely needs to run in, and Rondo has played for the Lakers and won the championship before, this experience is exactly what the Lakers need, signing Rondo is not the same as the Lakers.

After Rondo's development, because he himself also said that he wanted to develop in the direction of coaching after retirement, it can be basically determined that the development direction after Rondo is the head coach of the NBA team, and the template after his retirement can refer to Jason Kidd.
