The incident occurred at about 15:00 on September 12. At 14:03 on the same day, Wang Maolin, a villager in Guotun Village, Baishan Town, Suixi County, Huaibei City, drove a white off-road vehicle past the Yanhe Bridge next to the Guandimiao Primary School in Guotun Village, and due to improper operation, the car fell into the water in four wheels.

At this time, Wang Maolin's family, who followed him, rushed to the river and quickly rescued them. Because the car is four wheels up in the water, the pressure of the water outside the car is larger, the door cannot be opened, and the car is quickly filled with river water and begins to sink. Wang Maolin was trapped in the car, self-rescue could not be achieved, and the rescue personnel could not flip the vehicle, seeing that the water in the car was about to be filled, the situation was very critical, and the lives of the people in the car were more dangerous. In an emergency situation, Wang Maolin's family shouted for help.
The reporter saw from the surveillance video that at 14:45 on the same day, Wang Sen, who was wearing a hat and a T-shirt, heard the cry for help and ran from another intersection. At this time, Wang Sengang had been working at Anhui Yifan Food Company in Suixi County for only four months, when he heard the cry for help, he quickly put down the work at hand and rushed to come. After running to the river 200 meters away, wang Sen, 54 years old, was out of breath, but he did not hesitate, did not even have time to say a word, handed the mobile phone to passers-by and jumped into the water to rescue.
It is understood that after Wang Sen jumped into the water, he struggled to swim to the side of the falling water car, and joined forces with two other rescuers to lift the car, trying to turn the car over, but because the vehicle entered too much water, it could not be lifted. Wang Sen swam to the shore again, took a hammer from a crowd on the shore, swam back to the car, and joined forces with a rescuer to smash the glass on the back door of the car and pull Wang Maolin, who was unconscious due to lack of oxygen, out of the car window.
