In fact, the fluttering street of "Chasing the Tiger and Catching the Dragon" is expected, over the years, the story based on the era of the four Chinese detectives has basically been turned over and over again by Hong Kong films. The "Chasing the Tiger and Catching the Dragon" that fried cold rice this time, not to mention compared with the "Legend of Leiluo" and "Lame Hao", which were regarded as classics at that time, is much worse than the quality of "Chasing the Dragon" in previous years.
More importantly, several film emperors with an average age of nearly 60 years old, although they are well-known, are much less attractive to today's mainland audiences than before – the older generation of audiences have aesthetic fatigue, and younger audiences lack Hong Kong film feelings. Therefore, the box office of "Chasing the Tiger and the Dragon" is far less than that of the love movie "Your Wedding" in the same period.
Although "Your Wedding" occupies the theme advantage of the couple's file, a small fresh meat Xu Guanghan single anti-four major film emperors also reflects the current situation of the film market that is "the world of young female audiences" today.

A typical example is that in 2004, when mainland actor Wang Bozhao was injured and hospitalized by Hong Kong stars Zhang Weijian and Nicholas Tse when filming "Little Fish and Flowers", which also caused more than 100 actors in the mainland to jointly accuse Hong Kong actors of "bullying" themselves for a long time!
Although wang Bozhao's beating may have been an accident caused by Tse Tingfeng Zhang Weijian's failure to get too involved in the drama when filming, it undoubtedly served as a fuse, igniting the long-standing dissatisfaction of mainland performers with Hong Kong actors who enjoy "supranational treatment".
But feng shui takes turns, with the mainland and Hong Kong film and television industry one after another, now the entertainment industry is already the mainland traffic of small fresh meat world, the Hong Kong performing arts industry has long been followed by no one, still relying on a group of 50 or 60-year-old actors to support the scene.
This is largely due to the fact that since the 21st century, Hong Kong films have been able to enter the mainland market as co-productions, and in order to meet the censorship standards and balance the actors of the two places, the filmmakers usually adopt the combination of Hong Kong male protagonist + mainland female protagonist.
While bringing out a generation of big flowers such as the mainland's "Four Dan Double Ice", it has also led to young actresses in Hong Kong being squeezed by their mainland counterparts first. Then, as the older generation of Hong Kong actors continued to dominate the screen, the younger generation of male actors could not emerge.
