In 1997, the 17-year-old wife Satoshi Mu participated in a Japanese talent show, stood out from 3 million people and won the highest award, embarked on the road of acting, and had a steady career, filming representative works such as "Five Splashing Teenagers", "Evil Man", "Anger", and cooperating with director Hou Xiaoxian in "Assassin Nie Yinniang". And "Detective Chinatown 3" is his second collaboration with director Chen Sicheng.
The interview was completed before the Spring Festival in 2020, and his wife Mu Cong came to China to promote the film, and chatted with the Beijing News reporter about the filming experience of the film, as well as the previous cooperation with director Hou Xiaoxian and the Chinese and Japanese wine culture.
Dress too fancy in life and feel shy

During the filming of "Detective Chinatown 3", his appearance in the film was photographed by the Japanese media, and he mistakenly thought that this was the dressing style in the life of his wife, Satoshi Mu. His wife, Satoshi Mu, said that because he wanted to perform Noda Hao's narcissism, he would wear such clothes, but in real life, he would never wear it like this, and he would be shy.

Director Hou Xiaoxian has told screenwriter Xie Haimeng more than once that the story of "Assassin Nie Yinniang" "began to be conceived after seeing the smile of his wife Mu Cong." Nie Yinniang's personality is dark and tortuous, what kind of character can open her sealed innocent side? Hou Xiaoxian's answer is to find someone whose smile is as bright as sunshine and who can make the viewer want to laugh with it. This person is his wife, Mu Cong.

When he first entered the industry, his wife Mu Cong listened to others say that an actor should have a personality, but because of his gentle personality, he was always said to have no personality by others. "In fact, there is no personality, but it is also a kind of personality." However, he will try to choose some characters with personalities.

On a trip to London to shoot an advertisement, he and Oguri were on the plane, cup after cup, a bit like a tavern, and asked the flight attendant to refill the cup until the fourth cup, when the flight attendant stopped.
He thought that the amount of alcohol was OK, but he bowed down in front of Chinese, "Chinese's alcohol is very strong." He remembers the first time he went to South Korea to participate in the Busan International Film Festival and drank with Chinese, Japanese and Korean filmmakers, "In Japan, we say toast is to touch the glass, and then drink a little bit. Satoshi Mu: I make about three or four films a year, including some characters that are not starring. In fact, I am not very accustomed to a long period of rest, for example, when filming Hou Xiaoxian's "Assassin Nie Yinniang", because of various situations, I took a month off in the middle, and I didn't know what to do, I could only drink every day, and I gained a lot of weight. Therefore, I can't rest as a person and should work all the time.
Beijing News: Have you participated in three Chinese films, "Assassin Nie Yinniang", "Detective Chinatown 2" and "Detective Chinatown 3", and are there any Chinese directors who especially want to cooperate?
Satoshi Mu: Not long ago, I watched "The Last Night of the Earth" directed by Bi Gan and thought it was very good, so I hope to have the opportunity to cooperate with him. I also really like director Ang Lee, and of course I hope to work with director Hou Xiaoxian again.
