A total of 242 films from 71 countries participated this year, with the New Trend Award awarded to South Korea's "Weirdos" and the Indian film "That Woman Shivamma", the opening film "The Aroma of the Wind" directed by Iranian director Hadi Mohaghegh and the Uzbek film "Transformation" won the Kim Ji Seok Award.
This year's Busan Film Festival has been completely unblocked for three years, the audience does not need to pick plum blossom seats, all activities have resumed normal operation, and fans have gradually returned, and the total number of moviegoers in the past 10 days has soared to 161,145, twice as many as last year's 76,072.
