Tip: When designing a garden, try to determine the type and location of the shrubs first, so that your garden will have something to see all year round.
The following continues with several other shrubs:
3. Nandina Domestica
There are many varieties.
The symbol pictured below is called "Obsessed". Compared with the "Flame Nantian Bamboo", this plant shape is more compact, and the leaf layering is obvious. Great winter colors.
The deep purplish leaves are full of vitality and infection, especially in spring and summer.
Of course, it's there all year round. The leaves will gradually turn dark green.
It can be a structural existence. For example, like this, it is used as a partition between two small spaces:
If you're lucky, you can also harvest some pretty cone-shaped flowers that turn into small bright red berries that last until the following spring. Although these fruits are as loving and salivating as agate, they are not edible!
Another species of Nandina Lemon & Lime, is a relatively new variety.
Its representative feature is its lemon-yellow leaves. These leaves are incredibly bright: even shady places in the garden can be illuminated by it.
Full lighting is not required. Very adaptable.
4. Flame spear (Euonymus Alatus "Compactus"
This is a shrub, unlike many other shrubs.
The autumn foliage is the most stunning. If you plant it in the right place, it will turn bright pink:
Trimming is entirely available as needed for space. The purchase cost is also not high.
5. Big credit (mahonia)
The big credit is very resistant to cold and frost--- even when the temperature is as low as about minus 15 degrees Celsius. They are also not very picky about the soil environment, light intensity and angle. But they do need some shelter to avoid the cold winds.
The leaves are the most recognizable: thick and straight, smooth and waxy, with a pointed shape. Perfect for decorating the back space of the flower landscape.
It also blooms and produces small berries.
Most of the leaves are bright yellow, while others are warmer or orange.
Flowering in autumn and until winter. In winter, when the colors are boring, this yellow is undoubtedly dazzling.
After the flowers bloom, the black-purple berries will take their place.
Variety "Winter Sun":
This variety is relatively common. It can be up to 3-5 meters high, and 3-4 meters laterally. But don't worry, there are plenty of size options. Both big and small.
And maintenance is simple. With simple trimming, the ideal size and shape can be achieved. Large trimming is also not a problem.
6.荚蒾(Viburnum Plicatum f. Tomentosum Watanabe)
The name looks very long, but in fact, the plant is not large, relatively compact.
Basically within 1.5-1.8 meters. Flowering blooms in late spring and continues intermittently throughout the summer. Thrive in full light or partial darkness.
If you think it's a little too big, a large trim is also fine.
Notice:
7. Mexican chrysanthemum (Choisya Ternata)
Mexican "White Dazzler"
