McGregor on Messi: It's hard to beat Messi on the Forbes income list this year

According to the Daily Mail, UFC star Connor McGregor from Ireland said messi would be difficult to beat in this year's list of highest-paid sports stars because the Argentine moved to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

McGregor published a photo of himself wearing a Paris Saint-Germain jersey at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California, with a caption vowing to remain at the top of his Forbes charts, while boasting that he earned twice as much as tennis legend Federer.

McGregor also posted on social media: "It's crazy to support my brother in Beverly Hills , Ramos at Paris Saint-Germain, a team that poached so many incredible players in such a short period of time. Messi earns $75 million a year, and it's hard to beat this year's Forbes list without more competition. But having said that, don't rule me out. We've only been on this new Forbes annual list for two months, and I've already included his annual salary, hahahahahaha. ”

In May, McGregor was named the world's highest-paid athlete by Forbes for $180 million (£130 million), beating Messi, who ranked second with a revenue of $130 million (£94.5 million). It is reported that the Argentine star has signed a contract with Paris Saint-Germain for a two-year weekly salary of 1 million pounds.

So by the time the next Forbes list is released, the 34-year-old striker will be paid around £54m from Paris Saint-Germain, but the U.S. business conglomerate will also include Messi's bonuses.

Paris brought in Messi and other heavyweights this summer, including Wijnaldum, Ramos, Donnaruma and Ashraf. Pochettino's side, meanwhile, is also considered the number one favourite to win the Champions League this season.
