In late January 2023, heavy rains and flooding flooded northern Namibia, which wiped out a large number of houses and school buildings, making life difficult for the local people. The funds donated by Skok will be used for post-disaster reconstruction in the affected areas.

At the donation ceremony, Sarah Kugungaluwa thanked Skok for its contribution to Namibia's flood relief. In recent years, adhering to the concept of sustainable development, Skok has made an example in the fields of driving the economy, promoting employment, community assistance, talent training, environmental protection, etc., and has made outstanding contributions to promoting economic and people-to-people exchanges between Namibia and China.

Qiu Bin said at the donation ceremony that Namibia and China have been friendly for generations, and the company is with the hearts of the people in the disaster-stricken areas in northern Namibia. ScoCo always adheres to the concept of sustainable development as a guide and actively practices corporate social responsibility. It is hoped that this donation will help the people in the disaster-stricken areas rebuild their homes as soon as possible and allow the displaced people to return to normal life, and at the same time call on more private enterprises to actively take action to contribute to post-disaster reconstruction.

The Hushan Uranium Mine, to which SCCO belongs, is a super-large uranium mine independently invested, constructed and managed by CGNPC, and is also the largest Chinese entity investment project in Africa. Hushan uranium mine is a bright business card of China-Africa cooperation, known as the "ballast stone" of the mainland's natural uranium supply guarantee, and has actively responded to the call of the state for many years to build a "community of common destiny" between project construction and Africa's economic, social, environmental and cultural development, so as to achieve win-win cooperation between China and Africa.
