In other words, the key to the "homeostasis" of life and health lies in the balance of yin and yang inside and outside the body. 3. What is the nature of yin and yang? The Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor says: "Yang transforms qi, yin forms." "This is the most basic attribute of yin and yang. Let's start with: Yin formation. Yin is the main static, the basic property of yin is "solidification", based on the principle of yin and yang opposites, yang is active, and the basic property of yang is "gasification", which has a tendency to change into ethereal energy. The combination of "solidified yin" and "vaporized yang" is a combination of static and dynamic, and then produces a state of balance between yin and yang. In our healthy state, yin and yang are interdependent and mutually restrictive, and are in a homeostasis of mutual balance. The essence qi on which people live is formed by the combination of yin and yang, and if yin and yang are separated, the structural balance of essence is broken, and the balanced relationship is destroyed, then diseases will follow.

Zhang Jingyue, a physician of the Ming Dynasty, said in his medical work "The Complete Book of Jingyue": "The qi of life should be mainly based on replenishing the yang, and those who are rare and easy to lose are only yang, and those who are difficult to recover are only yang." That is to say: life is the function of yang qi, and all life of essence and blood is yang qi. The most direct way for us to obtain yang is by breathing. Therefore, practicing qi and learning the correct breathing method is the most effective way to maintain health. Since ancient Taoism, there has been a saying that practicing qi and refining qi, refining qi, practicing qi and transforming gods, practicing gods and returning to nothingness. The order is: qi → essence→ qi → spirit, the practice process is from there to nothing, yang gives us body power and energy, our metabolic cycle, digestion, growth, excretion, immunity and other physiological functions and all activities of the limbs can be carried out smoothly.

Life is ten years old, the flesh and qi have been channeled, and its qi is below; Twenty years old, full of blood; Thirty years old, strong muscles and full of blood; Forty years old, five internal organs and twelve meridians, all flourishing to calm down, glory and decadence, hair quite white, peaceful and unshaken, so happy to sit; At the age of fifty, the liver qi begins to fail, the liver lobes begin to thin, the bile begins to decrease, and the eyes are unknown; Sixty years old, the heart is weak, the blood is not strong, and he is happy to lie down; Seventy years old, weak temper, dry skin; Eighty years old, lung failure, detachment, so good and wrong words; Ninety years old, kidney qi scorching, four internal organs meridians empty; A hundred years old, all five organs are empty, the spirit is gone, and the body lives alone and ends.

So, how can we flatten the descending curve in the breathing chart, or even reverse the curve from bottom to up, and whether the phenomenon of life can regain vitality and maintain youth, this is a topic that people have been studying since ancient times.
