Today is International Working Women's Day, 8 March, an important holiday that Turkmenistan celebrates extensively.
"This holiday is an important day in human history for women fighting for equality and rights. Many countries celebrate on March 8, and we in Turkmenistan are certainly no exception. Ermila Ovnyazova, a teacher at the Turkmenistan State Conservatory of Music, said.
"It's no coincidence that we celebrate this holiday in early spring, a season where the warmth is already smelled and everything around us is beautiful and hopeful. And women just represent a warm, beautiful, comfortable and warm family, and a symbol of the birth of a new life. At all times, women are the embodiment of kindness, tenderness, empathy, and beauty. As Ovnyazova said, in Turkmenistan, the attitude towards women is very respectful and loving. Today, they have successfully realized their values in the political, social, economic and life spheres, demonstrated a wealth of creativity and intellectual talent, and achieved great success. At the same time, they still need to take care of children and the elderly in their lives.
"Women on the mainland are actively involved in the cultural and political life of Turkmenistan, and some of them hold leadership positions in government institutions. Moreover, nearly 17 per cent of teachers, doctors, directors, diplomats, entrepreneurs and government experts account for nearly 17 per cent. Turkmenistan pays attention to the status of women and supports them in all respects. Ovnyazova emphasized.
