The shortlist for the 2020 Annecy Film Festival has been announced. The Annecy Film Festival is currently the world's largest and highest-level international animation festival, enjoying the reputation of "Animation Oscar". The domestic animation films "Luo XiaoHei", "Lupin III: The First", "Kill It, then Leave this Town", "Shaman Witch", "Knight and Princess" and other films were shortlisted. The Annecy Film Festival will be held online from June 15 to 30.
The Annecy International Animated Film Festival has been held for 27 years and is a major event in the field of international animation. It has been established for 45 years, and its awards such as animated features, animated short films, and television animations are the highest honors in the world animation industry.
Founded in 1960, the Annecy International Animation Festival in France is the world's first international animation festival. Among the four international A-level animation festivals hosted by the World Animation Association, the Annecy International Animation Festival has always been the most prestigious one, known as the "Oscar of Animation". So far, only Hong Kong's "The Story of McDougall" in China has won the 2003 Animated Feature Film Award, which is also the highest award won by Chinese animation.
The Annecy International Animation Festival consists of four sections: Film Screening (7-12 June), Mifa Marketing (9-11 June), Conference (8-11 June) and Creative Focus (8-11 June). The International Animated Film Marketing Campaign (Mifa) is the most important showcase event in the animated film industry. It is headed by the Animation Department and is held concurrently with the Animation Festival. In the exhibition space covering an area of more than 3,000 square meters, professionals from various sectors of the animation industry and various products and services are gathered here, including TV animation, movies, videos, video on demand, Internet programs and mobile phones.
