In the Name of God: The Betrayal of Faith is a Korean anti-cult documentary that is the first unit to realistically record what happened to the Korean Regency Church in the form of interviews and videos.
Sect leader Zheng Mingxie, claiming to be the "Messiah" and asking believers to call themselves "God" and "Lord," and the Regency Church is named after his own English initials, also known as the "Jesus Morning Star" (JMS).
As early as the eighties, Zheng Mingxian founded the predecessor of the Regency Church, "Love the Sky Mission", and in 1987, female believers already accused Zheng Mingxie of fraud and rape, but it only ended in reconciliation.
After stepping into the nineties, Zheng Mingxie even opened the crazy mode of overseas flight + assault on female believers for many years.
In 1999, a woman surnamed Huang who wanted to leave the Regency Church in South Korea was kidnapped by parishioners and risked danger to escape from a highway rest stop, exposing the fact that Jung Myung-seong sexually assaulted a woman in the name of the church, which attracted media attention.
At that time, Zheng Mingxi quickly fled South Korea, ran to the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and occasionally went to Japan and Malaysia, but as a result, those female believers who went to meet him were brutally violated;

In July 2003, Cheng was arrested by police in a villa in Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong.

On May 1, 2007, Zheng was arrested in Beijing and repatriated to South Korea.
But in South Korea, he was sentenced to only 10 years in prison and was released in February 2018.

In 2018, the same year that Zheng Mingxian was released from prison, she began to be harassed by sect leader X.

In 2020, due to a traffic accident and the epidemic, Ye Xuan returned to Hong Kong, but was summoned back to South Korea by the sect leader the following year, but was violated again. In March 2022, Ye Xuan bravely disclosed her identity and attended a press conference in South Korea to confess to the perverted behavior of sect leader Zheng Mingxie. Since then, she has also become a "traitor" to the church, often followed and threatened.
In April 2022, Jung was arrested again in South Korea at an undetermined trial date.
And the people of the church learned that someone was going to make a documentary, and also found Ye Xuan's mother, threatening her not to let Ye Xuan make a documentary to tell the truth, Ye Xuan painfully recorded the video to explain her last words, and filmed a documentary under pressure.

After enlisting people in the name of "God", he would misinterpret the Bible, use "down-to-earth" foul language and jokes to distort the Bible, and use scientific and even mathematical concepts to teach highly educated college students.
From then on, he has implemented the biggest characteristic of the cult: let the believers do not believe in God, but only in the leader himself.

After successful brainwashing, Zheng Mingxie began his second step: accumulating wealth.

At that time, most of his followers were students and had little money, so Zheng Mingxie asked students to sell peanuts or New Year's cards under the slogan of helping poor residents.
The students thought they were doing charity, but they didn't expect that they were making free labor for Zheng Mingxie, and raised Zheng Mingxie from a poor egg to a rich man.
In the eighties, when not many people had a car, Zheng Mingxie drove a Mercedes-Benz.
With money and power, he could engage in "concubine selection" activities in the church.
Every year, Zheng Mingxie invites students to his hometown of Yuemingdong to hold a summer camp, in fact, he arranges his subordinates to specially select girls who are over 170 tall and beautiful, and bring them to Zheng Mingxie's room alone.
And a large number of these girls are minors, and many are just adults.
In June 1993, a 16-year-old girl, a sophomore in high school, arrived at the rally. One day, she was approached by a church sister who said she had been selected to interview the church leader one-on-one.

But Ye Xuan didn't want to be a singer, so Zheng Mingxie let her be an announcer and gave her the Korean name Zheng Xiujing.
She was selected as a "star" of the high-ranking Methodists, translated for the Chinese in the Regencytic Church, and was also a preacher and pastor of the Regencytic Church.
In the 10 years in the church, Ye Xuan has become one of the most famous figures in the church, and many believers feel that she is completely favored by the leader "God". It is probably this psychology that makes them choose to endure silently even if they are violated in the church.

In 1999, when a woman tried to quit the church, church members beat and kicked her, kidnapped her from the home of the Muslim leader, imprisoned her in a small dark room for several days, and tortured and beaten her for three to four hours a day.
That's the price of fleeing.
And even if Ye Xuan stands up and complains, whether he can get a fair and just result in the end, it is unknown, when he was arrested, he could hire a well-known lawyer to exonerate himself, and now the documentary has been launched, and there are many believers who are helping to wash the floor, insisting that the church is smeared by the outside world.
At the most arrogant time, Zheng Mingxie once invaded 50 or even 100 people at once.
