These days, I went to Kek Lok Wat in Penang, a historic Buddhist temple and one of the oldest and most important temples in Malaysia. When I entered the temple, the first thing I saw were two golden Buddha statues 20 meters tall, standing solemnly at the entrance of the temple, attracting the attention of me and other visitors.
The interior of the temple is a spacious and calm space with many Buddha statues and offering tables. The decoration in the temple is very elaborate, including works of art such as murals, paintings, and carvings. I especially like the exquisite vases and candle holders, which are made of white jade and crystal, full of rich oriental flair.
Kek Lok Si is best known for its 33-meter-tall statue of Guanyin, the tallest statue in all of Asia. Made of white marble, this Buddha statue faces the sea and stands on a high hill overlooking the city. As I approached this Buddha statue, I could feel its majesty and majesty, which made me very awe-inspiring.
Interestingly, visiting Kannon is like taking an "elevator", which is not so much an elevator, such as becoming a cable car! This cable car is elevator type, which is quite interesting
In the temple, I saw many people praying silently, which made me feel very calm and relaxed. I spent a peaceful afternoon here, enjoying the inner peace while admiring the beauty inside the temple.
There is a small lake behind Kek Lok Si Temple called "Heart Lake". There is a small pavilion on the shore of the lake called "Lover's Pavilion", which is a beautiful building built in the traditional Malay architectural style. I relaxed here for a while and enjoyed the lake and the surrounding scenery.
