Generally speaking, the range of 600 kilometers is enough for our daily commute, even if the distance is relatively long, it is enough to charge once a day. And many cars are already equipped with fast charging, which can charge the battery to 80% in thirty or forty minutes. According to the cruising range of 600 kilometers, there are also more than 400 kilometers of cruising range, which can fully support the owner to run home.
However, even if the cruising range of the car is improved, and the car also supports fast charging, many people still have range anxiety. It can be seen that the most painful place for pure electric vehicle owners is not the cruising range.
In fact, the cruising range of pure electric vehicles and the cruising range that ordinary family cars can achieve with a full tank of fuel are not large, ordinary family cars can run more than 600 kilometers with a full tank of fuel, and if there are more idle conditions, the fuel consumption of the car will also rise, and the cruising range will also shrink. No need to wait for time to charge, as long as it takes two minutes to change the power station to change a battery, the vehicle can be revived with full blood, so there are actually many ways to solve the cruising range.
The biggest concern of consumers is not how many kilometers the vehicle itself can run, but how many kilometers it can travel after the battery drops, which makes everyone feel very insecure.
When the fuel vehicle's flow meter sounds, the owner probably knows how many kilometers his car can run. As long as it is not in a particularly remote suburb, gas stations can be found everywhere, and it takes 5 minutes to fill up the vehicle.
But after the pure electric vehicle power reaches 50%, the owner has no bottom in his heart, and he does not know how many kilometers this 50% of the power can support himself. Although some cars look at 50% of the battery left, they should be able to run more than 200 kilometers according to the cruising range. However, due to aging batteries or turning on air conditioning, the actual cruising range is less than 100 kilometers, resulting in the owner's judgment error, and finally the vehicle can only be called a trailer when it is nested on the road.
And if you are taking a road that you have not walked much, and the owner does not know whether there is a charging pile in front of him, can he find a place to charge the car? Even if there is a charging pile, it is not confirmed whether the charging pile and your own car are compatible.
Now public charging piles are generally based on international 9-hole fast charging, but if it is a car purchased a few years ago, the charging port may be the 5 holes of the American standard, or the 7 holes of the national standard. Like BYD, these independent brands, have made great breakthroughs in batteries, BYD's blade battery capacity is larger than ordinary lithium iron phosphate battery capacity, so BYD's pure electric vehicle range is basically five or six hundred kilometers. It can also continue to increase the range if there is demand.
It is not difficult to solve the cruising range at all, the difficulty is how to solve the problem of charging difficulty, which is the root cause that troubles consumers. If the problem of charging is solved, basically even if 50% of the owner's psychological doubts are solved, then the sales of pure electric vehicles may go to a higher level. But now many car companies have focused their research on how to improve the cruising range of the vehicle itself, and have not fundamentally solved the problem of how to charge quickly.
