Tesla identification results are out! The owner was not convinced, Tesla Weibo responded: Are you kidding me?

Hello everyone, I'm Tech Pulse, and today I bring you the latest news about Tesla.

Do you remember the Tesla out-of-control collision that killed 2 people and injured 3 people on November 5 last year in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province? At that time, it attracted the attention and discussion of many netizens, some questioned Tesla's safety and quality issues, some sympathized with the experience of the owner and the victim, and some suspected whether the owner had improper operation or speeding and other violations.

Tesla identification results are out! The owner was not convinced, Tesla Weibo responded: Are you kidding me?

After the incident, the Chaozhou police immediately intervened in the investigation and entrusted the Academy of Forensic Science under the Ministry of Justice to conduct a third-party evaluation. After nearly 4 months of investigation and analysis, the identification results are finally out!

According to Red Star News, the Academy of Forensic Science has handed over the appraisal report to the Chaozhou police. However, for the specific content and conclusions, the agency refused to give interviews to the media and would not publish them.

Tesla identification results are out! The owner was not convinced, Tesla Weibo responded: Are you kidding me?

So how do we know what the identification result is? Don't worry, car blogger @ID_ Hanchao released two EDR (Auto Incident Data Recording System) data reports of the accident. EDR data shows:

  • The main driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident
  • The airbag did not deploy
  • The ABS anti-lock braking system is not turned on
  • The vehicle travels at a speed of 120.8 kilometers per hour
  • Pedal position is 0%
  • Brake pedal position is 0%

What does this data mean? Simply put:

  • The owner did not apply the brakes!
  • The owner did not apply the brakes!!
  • The owner did not apply the brakes!!!

That's embarrassing. It stands to reason that when suddenly encountering obstacles or pedestrians in front of you during high-speed driving, the normal reaction should be to immediately press the brakes to slow down or stop. But the owner didn't react at all! Did he fall asleep while driving?

Of course, this is only the situation of EDR data, and does not mean that it is the final truth. Perhaps there were other factors that contributed to this tragic accident. For example:

  • Tesla itself has technical defects or malfunctions that prevent normal braking or steering.
  • The EDR data itself is incorrectly or tampered with.
  • Road environment or weather conditions
  • The owner's operation or psychological state is abnormal.

For these possibilities, we cannot judge for the time being, and can only wait for the Chaozhou police to release the identification results and investigation conclusions. However, according to Red Star News, Mr. Zhan, the driver of the accident vehicle, did not agree with the evaluation results of the Forensic Science Institute, and said that he requested a new appraisal and had entrusted a lawyer to handle the matter. He insisted he had applied the brakes, but the vehicle did not respond.

So what does Tesla have to say about the accident? According to Zhihu user @ID_ Han Chao, Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the accident on Weibo. He said:

"Are you kidding me? Our data shows that you're not hitting the brakes at all! What else do you want? If you are not satisfied with our products, you can buy other brands of cars! We don't have to sell it to you! ”

Well, I admit that I made it up. Musk did not respond to the accident on Weibo. But if he did respond, I think he might say something similar. After all, he is a well-known outspoken, provocative, and not afraid of offending people.

So who is responsible for this accident? Is it Tesla or the owner? Or is both responsible? There is no clear and unbiased answer yet. We can only hope that the police will find out the truth as soon as possible and give an explanation to the victims and the public.

Finally, I would like to say that you must pay attention to safety when driving! No matter what brand, model, or price of the car you drive, you must obey the traffic rules, maintain a reasonable speed, pay attention to the road conditions, and make a correct response in time. After all, human life is at stake!

Well, that's it for today. If you like my article, please like, comment, retweet and follow! Thank you!
