PART.01 Ruins of St. Paul's
The official name of the Ruins of St. Paul's is actually the "St. Paul's Cathedral Site", which has a history of more than 350 years and is one of Macau's landmark buildings and a "World Heritage Site". The architectural style here combines the two styles of Renaissance and Oriental architecture, and is more literary and artistic.
There are also many attractions in its vicinity, including Fortress Hill and Macau Museum in the vicinity of St. Paul's. After visiting St. Paul's, you can walk to Battery Hill, and there is also a great place to take photos with the Ruins of St. Paul's on the way up. There is an art museum and the remains of Japanese and Vietnamese martyrs are stored in the burial chamber next door, showing the religious history of Macau.
There is also a shopping street here, which satisfies women's shopping desires. I recommend the several streets that crisscross under the Ruins of St. Paul's! It is home to almost all of Macau's classic snacks and delicacies, so it's a foodie's paradise.
PART.02 Dragon Ring Rhyme
One of the eight scenic spots in Macao, three buildings can be visited: "Macanese House", "Island House" and "Portuguese Regional House", the other two are "Exhibition Hall" and "State Guest House". You can see the original taste from the family that has been settled in Macau for a long time.
The Portuguese have invaded here, so Macau also has a lot of Portuguese-style buildings, mostly retaining Portuguese elements. And Taipa occupies a place, it has a nice name, called Dragon Ring Portuguese Rhyme. Longhuan Portuguese is a very small and fresh, very suitable place for photos, here the seaside road is the most beautiful, five mint green Portuguese houses are featured, now mainly representative of the museum, you can visit it every day. Because the entire horse road is paved with rubble, with banyan trees and western-style houses on both sides, it is also one of the favorite places for local newlyweds to take wedding photos. A trip to Macau with a couple is definitely not to be missed.
PART.03 A-Ma Temple
Do you know why Macau is called Macao? It is said that it is because of A-Ma Temple. When the Portuguese entered Macau in 1553, they asked the locals for their name and history, but the residents misunderstood them and said A-Ma, from which "Macao" was derived.
Built in 1488 and with a history of more than 500 years, A-Ma Temple is one of the three major Zen monasteries in Macau, one of Macau's famous monuments and a symbol of Macao's Mazu culture. In 2005, the Historic Centre of Macau, including the A-Ma Temple Front, was inscribed on the World Heritage List. When Macau was invaded by the Portuguese, it was the first place where the Portuguese arrived, so A-Ma Temple is the starting point of Sino-Portuguese culture. Every year, many people come here to worship the Buddha. The photo taken here is also very distinctive.
A-Ma Temple is located on the mountainside west of A-Ma Mountain and consists of the main hall, Hongren Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, etc. Although the scale of the building is small, the layout is staggered, and it is an ancient building with very Chinese cultural characteristics.
Opposite is the Maritime Museum, the oldest museum in Macau. It exhibits Chinese dragon boats and ancient Portuguese three-masted boats in real objects, and will also introduce da Gama's journey to India and Zheng He's seven voyages to the West through videos, and recommend everyone to understand a wave of history.
PART.04 EIFFEL TOWER
Fans who have chased "Let's Run" must know that Macau also has an Eiffel Tower, which is a replica of The Parisian Macao Hotel according to the 2:1 scale of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, 166 meters high, weighing 2,700 tons, and 6,600 LEDs lit up at the same time at night, making this resort "Little Paris" nickname. It has become one of the must-see landmarks in Macau. Moreover, the 7th and 37th floors of the Eiffel Tower are equipped with viewing platforms that overlook the panoramic view of Macau, which is a good place to see the scenery!
The Parisian atmosphere around the tower is actually more intense: French themed malls such as the Champs-Elysees, Verdun Square, Galeries Lafayette... All recreated at The Parisian Macao.
Step into The Parisian Macao's reception and concierge, like being in the Palace of Versailles, the hotel's décor is inspired by the Paris Opera, the ornate rotunda will be the best picture for the circle of friends, and the golden dome refers to the Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, and the gilded Neptune Fountain~
PART.05 The Venetian
Covering an area of 10.5 million square feet, more than 3,000 luxury suites, more than 30 world-class restaurants, and more than 350 international brand stores, you will not find a resort that matches The Venetian Macao anywhere in Asia.
Go to Macau, how can you miss buying, buying, buying! Located on the third floor of The Venetian Hotel, the Grand Canal Mall is the largest indoor shopping mall in Macau and is connected to The Parisian, Sands Plaza, Four Seasons Stores, etc., making it a crazy shopping paradise.
It is often commonly known as The Venetian Macao Resort Vns8 Point Com, The Venetian, Wei Kee and so on. The resort hotel is owned and operated by The Venetian Macau and is built in the style of the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas, USA. An Italian-inspired shopping mall that perfectly replicates Venice's characteristic arched bridges, small canals and stone paths, and even uses lighting effects and domes to create sunrises and sunsets, clouds and skylight. The gondolas on the canal come and go, and the boatmen hum lingering love songs, as if this is the Venetian water town~ Since the concept of the Venetian Macao Resort is derived from the Venetian Las Vegas Resort, it has always been regarded as a copy of the latter.
PART.06 Fisherman's Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf Theme Park is the first theme park in Macao, China and a shopping mall modeled after Fisherman's Wharf in Europe and America. Different from the romantic Paris and Magnificent Venice, Macau Fisherman's Wharf has more historical charm of the East and the West. It has both European nostalgic leisure and Hong Kong characteristic city culture. There are stunning Greek architecture, unique Babylonian casinos, and magnificent antique Roman colosseums.
There used to be a "Tang Cheng", a Chinese-style city tower modeled after Tang Dynasty architecture, but it has now been replaced by luxury hotels. There is no geographical boundary, just like a small world expo, you can take a few photos to travel around the world~ There are all kinds of food here, Chinese, Western, Japanese, Korean, Macao, Portuguese and Thai flavors of delicious food~
PART.07 Coloane
Coloane is an island in Macau, with excellent natural scenery, beaches, walking paths, colorful houses, characteristic shops... In contrast to the bustling urban atmosphere, it is like a small fishing village that is "independent from the world", and it is always a "quiet and good time" look~
Coloane has many colorful streets and small houses, and the casual concave shape is cute. Not only that, but this is also one of the filming locations of the Korean drama "Palace", and the road with the same name as the movie is booming! Several of the more famous attractions - St. Francis' Church, Coloane Library, Tin Hau Temple, and Colorful Residential Buildings are all worth visiting.
From Coloane, it is only a 15-minute drive to Taipa. Taipa is also one of the must-see places to visit in Macau. A large number of Portuguese architectural cultures have been preserved here, and the famous food street Guanye Street is located here.
PART.08 Bishop Hill Chapel
Bishop's Hill Chapel, also known as Our Lady of the Sea Cliffs, is built on Guia Hill, one of the highest points on the Macau Peninsula. Compared to several other churches in Macau, the church on Bishop Hill is more modern, with the façade retaining the lime color of the building materials and the inner nave being simply decorated.
The church combines modern and Gothic Revival architectural styles, and has been rated as a "building of architectural value". The surrounding flowers and paths are secluded, the ancient trees are thick, and the environment is very good.
The location is also good, it can be said to be "condescending", not only overlooking the beautiful scenery of Nanxiwan and Zhuhai, but also overlooking the Macao-Taipai Bridge and the endless blue sea. Here, for those who want to enjoy the unique style of the small town, it is definitely the best choice!
PART.09 Church of San Lolenzo
Located in the heart of Macau's Historic Centre and built in the 16th century, St. Lolenzo Church is one of the three oldest churches in Macau, located not far from A-Ma Temple and St. Joseph's Monastery. The church also offers a view of Nam Van, Macau's most beautiful harbour.
Not far away is the Abbey Church of St. Joseph, an old church with a history of more than 200 years. In terms of scale, it is a little more magnificent than the Holy Lao Lenzo Hall, but the decoration craftsmanship of the inner hall is not inferior, brilliant, foreign and good-looking!
PART.10 Ausotai Bridge
The Macao Tai Bridge can be said to be one of the famous local attractions, and the scenery here is also very beautiful, and it was completed in October 1974, and the total length of the Macao Tai Bridge is also 3,400 meters, and the arc is very large, the building is also very unique, very rhythmic, and the night view here at night will be very beautiful, we can take photos here, but also become a symbol of Macao's development.
PART.11 New Eight Scenic Spots of Macao
The "New Eight Scenic Spots of Macao" is a new batch of scenic spots following the "Eight Scenic Spots of Macao" selected by eight Macao associations in 1992. With humanities, history and nature as the core, the new eight scenic spots also include emerging tourist attractions, intertwining old and new, blending East and West, reflecting Macao's cultural heritage and urban development.
The attractions selected as the "New Eight Scenic Spots of Macao" are: Guia Hill, Two Lakes and One Pagoda, Senado Square, Lung Claw Kok, Coloane Fishing Village, Love Lane, Fulong New Street and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
Macau is an exotic city,
But a city with a unique history,
You can travel through different countries to experience the continent,
You can admire the monuments and listen to the years and the storm.
A Hong Kong and Macau Pass can take you there,
It's not just at the end of the journey~
