At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Zhang was good at business, could manage money, and made his fortune by transporting boats on the grain river, and later added brick kilns, coke factories, noodle mills and other real estate. The eldest son Xue'an married his wife Zhang Shi, and a few days after marriage, because of a bet with the villagers, he snatched (lifted) Lu Qiu, but he spat blood in his mouth, and lay at home for a few days, and he was killed.
The daughter-in-law never remarried, and the Wang family Zhuqiao set up a chastity archway for her. When his daughter-in-law was widowed, his father-in-law lost his wife again, and seeing that his father-in-law was sixty or seventy years old, and he could carry a hundred and ten pounds of sorghum bags from the grain field to the granary, he wanted to raise his father-in-law's relatives.
Soon, Wang Zhangji married Chu Shi, who was in his twenties, gave birth to a baby boy, and took the two characters in "Tianzeng Years People Increase Life", the name Tianzeng, the character Xuezeng. Xuezeng was gifted and intelligent, and he won the first place in the college examination at the age of less than twenty and won the Xiucai.
When Xiucai was in charge, the Wang family had 29 acres of arable land, 15 acres of homestead, including 2 acres of vegetable gardens, 5 acres of grain harvesting farms, three courtyards, 33 buildings, and 3 artillery towers built on the courtyard wall. The compound is located on the upper embankment of the Mi River section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and is the richest family in the Tongpei Gate area.
During the Second Sino-Japanese War, the house became the home of the mobile railway guerrillas, and it is 6 kilometers away from Lincheng and 7.5 kilometers away from Shagou. During the busy agricultural season, the guerrillas helped harvest crops and dry grain, and usually "stayed at night and went out" during normal times, and activities were carried out on the Jinpu railway line.
On the 13th day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar in 1943, the day when rural folklore called "May 13 Guan Gong sharpened the big knife" and "the drought was only May 13", the Lunan Independent Detachment decided to hold a meeting of the heads of major brigades and martial arts teams in Xiucailou. Liu Jinshan, commander of the railway guerrilla brigade, and Wang Zhisheng, deputy captain of the group, attended the meeting, and more than 20 members of the squadron each drew one short and one long gun to serve as guards.
According to the recollections of Wang Moshan, the devil's chief of Peitengbian County, who was in Lincheng, had just taken office, and our side gave him a dismount. Iwashita actually asked the "two-faced" security chief to send us a letter saying that the two sides had a truce and were greatly friendly.
With the approval of their superiors, the border county brigade "made peace" with each other for a while, and the arrangement and security of this meeting were also slightly relaxed. Because the traitor snitched, the meeting was supposed to continue at 1 o'clock after lunch, and Iwashita took more than 100 Japanese puppet troops by car from north to south and from south to north, quietly outflanking them.
The sentry first spotted the enemy, and the squadron leader Xu Guangtian was sitting in the aisle at the gate, and when he heard that there were ghosts, he quickly took out his pistol and rushed out of the door, returning fire to the ghost soldiers who were setting up machine guns on the embankment, knocking down several on the spot.
At this time, the east, west and south were under the enemy, and two machine guns of the railway guerrillas guarded the gate. The battle lasted more than 1 hour, and the enemy bombarded the yard with small steel cannons. Liu Jinshan decisively decided to let Xu Guangtian lead 8 members to climb over the back wall, and then climb over several courtyard walls, and attack the green yarn tent in the northwest direction to destroy the enemy and attract firepower. They pounced on the oncoming enemy, and the Japanese puppet army, thinking that it was all personnel, pursued and fought fiercely, and the participants took the opportunity to retreat north over the wall.
Li Wensheng, the leader of the detachment, braved a dense load of bullets to cover the safe transfer of the withdrawn cadres, and fell in a pool of blood when he threw the last grenade at the enemy with his machine gun. After Zhang Jianfu of the machine gun crew held the gate deadly, he was killed while blocking the enemy at the mouth of the alley. The shooter Zhang Fuxian was seriously wounded and was stabbed 12 times by Japanese soldiers. Cao Shi, who was next to Xiucai Lou, heard the gunshot, opened the door facing west halfway, and was shot and killed by the ambushed ghost soldiers.
That night, the Lunan Independent Detachment decided to mobilize the masses in the west of Shagou and picked up a long, long stretch of railway track south of Shagou Station.
My hometown is less than two miles away from Xiucai Building, and I often hear about the guerrillas' ability to kill enemies. One year, when I returned to my hometown, I happened to meet Xu Xiangzhao, the former captain of the production team. He said about it, "I was only ten years old when I fought in Xiucailou, and standing at the head of the high sand embankment in our village, I could hear the gunfire and see the fire. When it was almost dark, Xu Guangtian led a team member with a gun in his hand to live in my house. I was a little shocked to see that Xu Guangtian's head and arms were still bleeding, but I never forgot their brave and tenacious character. ”
