In 2017, there was a TV series "Yu Chenlong" on TV, and the late Mr. Shan Tianfang, a famous book critic, also broadcast a commentary book "Qingguan Yu Chenlong" Qingguan Yu Jackie Chan. Even the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection published an article on May 30, 2016 titled "Shanxi Luliang Yu Jackie Chan: The World's First Honest Official" Qingjian Family Style Passed Down to The World" to praise his story.

So what great thing did Jackie Yu do to make his story still circulate? First of all, let's first talk about an oolong incident, during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, there were two in Jackie Chan, both in important positions in the imperial court, one is Yu Chenglong of Lüliang, Shanxi, which we mentioned above, and the other is located in Jackie Chan's ancestral home in Liaodong, and later moved to Zhangjiawan in Tongzhou, Beijing, and both are Qing officials who are for the country and the people. Today we will first tell the story of Lü Liang's Yu Chenlong.

Let's first briefly introduce Lü Liang's resume as an official in Jackie Chan, who was born in the forty-fifth year of the Ming Dynasty (1617 AD), with the character Beiming, the number Yushan, and the Yongning people of Shanxi (now Fangshan County, Lüliang City, Shanxi Province). Since the eighteenth year of Qing Shunzhi, he has successively served as Zhi County of Luocheng County, Guangxi, Zhizhou of Hezhou, Sichuan, Tongzhi of Huangzhou, Huangzhou, Wuchang, Fujian, Hubei

Let's talk about Jackie Chan's family, Yu Jackie Chan's father is called Yu Shihuang, his mother Yu Tianshi died of illness shortly after Jackie Chan was born, and his father Yu Shihuang married a stepmother Li Shi for him, although it is a stepmother, but it is very good for Jackie Chan. So Jackie Chan grew up in a warm family since childhood.

Yu Chenlong has been eager to learn since childhood, hoping to obtain a meritorious name and thus serve the country. However, due to the corruption of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it coincided with the change of dynasties and the continuous war. It was not until Jackie Chan was forty-four years old (the eighteenth year of Qing Shunzhi) that he was admitted to the meritorious title and was appointed by the imperial court as The Zhi County of Luocheng, Guangxi, and the "Draft History of the Qing Dynasty • Biography of Yu Chenglong" once recorded that "Luocheng lived in the middle of the Ten Thousand Mountains, and the people were fierce." After Fang Bing, there were only six residents in the county, and there were no cities in Guo She", which translates to "Luocheng County is in the middle of ten thousand mountains, with an epidemic of miasma and plague, and the people's customs are rough and fierce." After the war, there were only six residents in the county town, and there were no walls and official offices in the county town. Before Jackie Chan took office, he had also heard about the situation in Luocheng County, but he held the idea that "this trip will never be based on food and clothing, and vow not to be ignorant of the conscience of heaven", and took office alone. After Yu Chenlong arrived at his post, he immediately summoned officials and the people to appease and ensure the system; organized manpower to crack down on illegal crimes; and the people were able to live and work in peace and contentment, and they also had the heart to produce. Yu Chenlong cares about the people, and the people love him very much. He also asked his superiors for instructions to relax the system of servitude, and at the same time he organized the opening of schools and the establishment of sanatoriums... In a few years of hard work, he managed Luocheng County very well. The governor Lu Xingzu and others recommended him to the imperial court on the grounds that his political achievements were "outstanding". In this way, in the sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, due to his outstanding political achievements and the recommendation of the leadership, Yu Chenglong was promoted to Zhizhou of Hezhou, Sichuan. Subsequently, Yu Chenlong's so-called step by step rose, but every time he went to a place to watch, Yu Chenlong was still like in Luocheng, honest and incorruptible, caring for the people, and outstanding political achievements.

In the nineteenth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, He served as a direct subordinate inspector of Jackie Chan. During this period, 1,800 hectares of land previously covered by mud and sand in Xuanhua were washed up by floods, and Yu Chenlong's predecessor, Jin Shide, requested that the land endowment be exempted, but without the approval of the imperial court, the already poor people were even more burdened. After Yu Chenlong took office, he learned of this situation, and sincerely wrote a sonata to the imperial court, which was finally approved by the imperial court; at the same time, he was affected by the disaster in this place and applied to the imperial court for disaster relief. In the twentieth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the emperor ordered Jackie Chan to enter the capital for a pilgrimage, and the emperor praised him as "the first official of the Qing Dynasty". He was also rewarded with one thousand taels of silver from the treasury and one horse on which the emperor himself rode. Soon after, Yu Was promoted to Governor of Jiangxi, Jiangnan. In the twenty-third year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the imperial court ordered Yu Chenlong to concurrently manage the political affairs of Jiangsu and Anhui, and Yu Chenglong died in office, completing his incorruptible and glorious life.

Yu Chenglong lived frugally throughout his life, and after serving as the governor of Liangjiang, he still "ate rough and coarse, a spoonful of porridge, and vegetables, and did not know the taste of meat all year round", which was known as "Yu Qingcai"; in terms of being an official, he cracked down on regional robbers and bullies and established education; at the same time, he recommended some honest and promising officials under his rule, such as Yu Chenglong, who was the governor of Tongzhou at the same time; in addition, Yu Chenlong was an official all his life and never carried his family. Because of this, Yu Chenlong is worthy of being a "generation of honest officials". It is not only worth learning from the ancients, but also worth learning from today's people.

Tomorrow I will continue to tell you another story about Jackie Chan.
