Marvel's fourth phase of the new film "Black Widow" was released in North America on June 30, with IGN scoring 9 points, GameSpot giving it a 6 score, and Rotten Tomatoes freshness rating of 84%.
IGN said that the film is OK, although "Black Widow" has added a lot of action and comedy elements, but this film is still not a good independent Avengers super British movie. GameSpot said that although the performance of the main actors is excellent, the plot of the film has a lot of problems, and multiple ticket jumps have also caused a lot of trouble to fans.
IGN rating: 7 OK
Although "Black Widow" has added a lot of action and comedy elements, this film is still not a good independent Avengers superhero movie.
IGN Overall: Marvel's highly anticipated Black Widow movie changed the classic superhero movie format. The film's style is similar to a spy thriller, which explores Black Widow's mysterious origins as a trained agent — revealing her "family" and introducing a creative villain, the Master of Imitation. However, while the movie is full of compelling action scenes, it strives to strike a balance between action and family scenes and reinforces some of Marvel's clichéd metaphors for female superheroes. The film ultimately portrays Natasha as a morally unshakable and powerful fighter, making her farewell performance in Avengers 4 even more bittersweet.
When the pandemic caused the planned release date to be postponed several times, Marvel rejected some calls for the release of the film on Disney+. This decision is very wise for me because it's a movie that needs to be watched and listened to on the big screen, because it's the best experience in a movie theater with other people.
Over the decades, there have been several attempts to adapt comic book heroes into movies and television; most of them lack fans of the original material and are disappointed by it. For more than a decade, Marvel has been successful because of their clear plans, great cast, and engaging characters that have evolved over time.
Black Widow does a good job of filling in the missing time gaps in the Marvel Universe and sets the future adventures as scenes in the film, clearly linking the two live-action Disney+ franchises and showing that the Marvel Universe's long-term plans are still continuing, a good blend of film and TV series.
From the moment The Marvel introduction and music appeared on the screen to the moment to the end; Black Widow is a very fun and engaging blockbuster adventure that showcases Marvel's best in their games; and why they continue to set up event-level movies that can't be missed.
