Use AI to help you touch fish? The "Chosen Worker Package" is here

How popular is ChatGPT? Some people joke that "even the people who sell fried cold noodles are asking what it is."

Internet companies are collectively falling into FOMO (fear of missing out), Google and Baidu, which started with traditional search engines, are in a hurry to come up with competing products, former Meituan executive Wang Huiwen announced a $50 million investment to "build China's OpenAI"; Internet workers are also anxious, at least they have to use it!

But the truth is: I rushed to the OpenAI official website to register an account, but the website prompted that after registration, there must be an overseas number for SMS verification. I had to give up.

I couldn't catch up, actively looked for "flat replacement", and finally found a website called "All Things AI", which brings together hundreds of tools, not only intelligent programming, photo processing, game development and other professional applications, but also many "small but beautiful" plug-ins: manage calendars and mailboxes, do PPT, generate meeting minutes... There are so many AI applications that some people do navigation websites, and in the eyes of ordinary people such as me, now is the period of AI explosion.

These seem to be a "migrant package"!

By the way, I am an Internet operator, and the work content can be summed up in two words: firefighting. My hard days tend to be like this: the product here asks you for user feedback on new features, the boss over there urges the data, and then there are several emails in the mailbox that require resource approval. These are not finished, someone posted a hot spot in the group, a sentence "the competitors are on, we haven't seen it here" is enough to make your heart stop beating.

How busy is it? I won't say more. I had a camp bed in my office.

The media says every day that AI will replace this job and that profession, which means that AI is very good now, so I let it help me work? To be able to hit a little is a little.

I plan to list a few problems that I often encounter in the workday to test the level of AI part-time work.

Ten in the morning:

I received an email, but I didn't want to return it

Operators need to frequently establish contacts with external sources, and many suppliers seek cooperation. As a result, the emails I receive every day are "overwhelming" and at the same time, I don't want to reply.

I found "Levity" on All Things AI, and the usage is very simple, fool-style training your AI model, classification, just these two steps.

First, create a text classifier, fill out and upload a form similar to an autoresponder template before importing your email, and then match the text of the email to the tagged one.

If you want to know whether the score scored by the AI model is really accurate, then let's test the effect of training.

Finally, click "Connect" to link your email address and you're done.

This "point-and-shoot operation" is also known as no-code tool, where we don't need to enter a single line of code to build an AI deep learning model. Now, even with more than 500 unread messages in my mailbox, I'm still relaxed.

Two p.m.:

Learn SQL, from getting started to giving up to getting started again

In some Internet companies, the data analyst's needs are prioritized simply and straightforwardly: boss needs > other needs.

So, while they are busy answering bosses' "heavenly questions" in long reports, our operations are left to fend for themselves, dismantling the daily multitude and fragments of data. Learning SQL (a programming language for querying databases) is a difficult problem that cannot be bypassed.

And this platform called "Mason" may be able to solve my urgent needs, and what impresses me the most is that I give the demand and quickly make the numbers.

Simply put, this is similar to when you want to sum but forget the formula when using Excel, then, just enter the four words "I ask for sum", and the AI can help you write the formula and give the answer.

Oh, my God! Isn't this what I've been saying in my heart many times: SQL When you grow up, you should learn to write your own scripts...

However, Mason is an application system, users need to fill in some background information, waiting for official approval before use.

Users also need a certain amount of common sense of data analysis, otherwise even what database and analysis tools to choose when setting up at the beginning will be screenshots

Most of the AI data tools seen so far can only be analyzed and reviewed based on existing databases, but cannot make more accurate foresight and prediction, and cannot answer the question that makes all Internet people at least headache: What is your estimated return for doing this? How much value does it generate?

Therefore, AI should think hard about how to improve the ability to draw pie planning.

Three p.m.:

Bump into the meeting, work hard to adjust the time

Most of the days when you work in an Internet company is when people have not yet arrived at the workplace, and today's meeting is already full. My busiest day was 15 meetings crammed into 10 hours, and I could only squeeze out a little lunch time throughout the day.

Smart calendars have also emerged in the AI industry, such as this "Reclaim", which just raised nearly ten million dollars at the end of last year. The selling point is that it can allocate the most suitable meeting time according to the participants' calendar; You can also split one's calendar into "life calendars" and "work calendars" and defend the idea of "Work Life Balance" to the death.

However, after the experience, I think the function is a bit "chicken ribs", one is that some office software can also be intelligently recommended; Second, these temporary additions or emergency adjustment meetings, can I not open them if I can't open them? The owner was already waiting in the conference room.

In the face of higher priority work demands, no amount of smart calendars can save me!

6 p.m.:

Is the meeting over? No, that's just the beginning

A meeting, without minutes, then it is incomplete. But if that can, there are at least 5 different languages, and if I can listen to it and write something, I'm afraid that person won't be complete.

The tool "Synth" might be helpful. It's a new Chrome plugin that offers speech-to-text services similar to other similar tools, but my favorite feature is that this AI plugin intelligently generates a short snippet of meeting transcript-based answers to any questions you ask.

Isn't this the AI version of my "Internet Mouth"?

And it supports all audio and video types, whether it's online meetings, YouTube videos, or podcasts.

Try the famous "Musk in the Big Bang Theory" clip on YouTube by importing a link to the video - generating subtitles - summarizing the main idea - answering new questions.

The consumer only needs to copy the link and ask questions, and the AI will do the rest.

But when I asked "who is Musk?" it didn't mention Twitter's new CEO resume. It seems that "keeping up with current events", this AI still has to learn more.

This plugin is convenient, but it is only suitable for online meetings.

Midnight:

When there is no inspiration, holding back, you can't solve the problem

At the end of the day, I finally had time to calm down and write a plan. A mature operator should organize the content externally, keep in touch with users, sort out the ideas internally, and output the plan.

However, in the constantly involuted Internet track, the direction is constantly explored, the black words continue to iterate, and more and more questions need to be answered. At this time, we need some "omnipotent" words and try to take the problems thrown by the boss as dripping as possible.

There are many such AI tools on the market, whether it is ChatGPT, which has just exceeded 100 million monthly activities, or other content production, intelligent conversations such as AdCreative, BibleGPT, Poe...

They can help solve some of the problems, but the biggest headache for me is that there are some words that the AI probably hasn't even learned. Let's not say more about those obscure Internet black words. For example, how can I describe the problems thrown by these bosses with AI:

"Evaluate the team's manpower bandwidth", "Write a plan to communicate the main functions of this product to users", "How to locate which are our moat content and users on the platform"...

When the AI sees the three words "moat", I am afraid that it will also mutter: moat, which river?

AI looks at the Internet black words, what will be the reaction of the network丨Network

These human-created problems, AI sometimes can't do anything.

After this day's experience, I found that most AI productivity tools are designed to make work more rhythmic and life balanced.

But as you can see, my job is to "put out fires", and the speed of dealing with things can never keep up with the next increase in to-do. Frankly speaking, AI can't help me as an Internet social animal too much.

However, with the good use of AI tools and smart laziness, I will continue to explore. I hope that one day, people and AI can cooperate tacitly. At that time, in order not to let you be idle, the bosses will also come up with other tricks...
