What is the "Iron Man Spirit"?
Today
Let's get closer to the "Iron Man" Wang Jinxi
On March 25, 1969, Wang Jinxi led the 1205 drilling team from Yumen to Daqing day and night.
On the great wasteland, the 40-meter-high drill tower was the first miracle after Wang Jinxi and his comrades came to Daqing. In the 1960s, Wang Jinxi led more than 30 members of the 1205 drilling team to dismantle more than 60 tons of drilling equipment into pieces, turning the big into small, and after three days and three nights, the bulky equipment was transported to the well site. He said, each of our 37 people is a small crane!
In a drilling mission, the blowout occurred unexpectedly, and a powerful high-pressure liquid column rushed out of the wellhead to fly tens of meters into the air, and if no measures were taken, the consequences would be unimaginable.
This is one of the situations that workers are most worried about.
In a hurry, Wang Jinxi jumped into the mud and blocked the blowout with his body. After the struggle of Wang Jinxi and his teammates, the blowout was finally suppressed, and the oil well and drilling rig were saved. With this tenacious will and soaring energy, Wang Jinxi is known as the "oilfield iron man".
In 1969, Wang Jinxi was elected a member of the Central Committee. In the Great Hall of the People, Premier Zhou Enlai specifically stopped him and introduced to Chairman Mao Zedong that this was Wang Jinxi, the iron man of Daqing, and Mao Zedong shook his hand and said, "Wang Jinxi, I know that he is a representative of the working class." ”
In April 1970, Wang Jinxi was diagnosed with stomach cancer; he died in November of the same year at the age of 47.
"I'd rather live twenty years less and desperately want to win the big oil fields."
Wang Jinxi dedicated his life to the oil industry of the motherland and always practiced his oath.
