According to the official changelog, Chrome 110 already supports NVIDIA's RTX Video Super Resolution technology, but still needs a new driver to work properly. In addition, it has now been officially confirmed that RTX VSR will only work if manually enabled by the user through the NVIDIA control panel and will not be enabled by default.

NVIDIA announced this new RTX Video Super Resolution technology at CES 2023 GeForce Beyond live, which is the DLSS in the video playback field. According to reports, the RTX video super resolution feature uses AI to improve the quality of any video viewed in the browser by removing blocky compression artifacts and increasing the video resolution. This technology improves the sharpness and clarity of video, allowing online content to be viewed at its native resolution on a high-resolution display.
According to NVIDIA's official statement, owners of GeForce RTX 40 and RTX 30 series graphics cards can enable RTX video super resolution from this month, and this feature will support RTX 20 series graphics cards in the future.
