HAR NEWS AGENCY/NUR-SULTAN/March 5 – The final cast of the large-scale historical feature film Dawn of the Steppe, produced by a Kazakh film studio, has been officially announced.

According to the official information released by Emmatov Kazakh Film Studio, this huge production aimed at showing the life history of Hasmu Khan, a famous khan of the Kazakh Khanate, will be directed by Ahan Satayev, who has directed many classic film works such as "Life Noir", "Fearless Thousand Warriors", "Queen Tomiris" and so on.

It is reported that the film will focus on the legendary story of the period from 1511 to 1521, when Hasmu Khan came to power and led the Kazakh Khanate to great power. During this period of history, the Territory controlled by the Kazakh Khanate encompassed the entire Chincha Steppe, making it the most powerful state in Central Asia at that time, laying the foundation for the territorial scope of the future Kazakhstan.

This period also gave birth to the famous code of law, which historians call the "Path of Justice of Hasmu Khan".

At the beginning of the project, the film was originally planned to be launched in the form of a TV series, but after discussion, it was changed to a feature film. The main plot will be to inherit the film versions of the previous two important historical blockbusters "Kazakh Khanate" series of TV series" "Undefeated Sword" and "Golden Throne".

Initial partial location filming was launched in Almaty in late February, and the entire film is expected to be completed by December 2021 as a tribute film for the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
