This is another major progress made by the demonstration project after the completion of the double reactor cold test, the double reactor hot test and the first charge this year, and the unit will be connected to the grid within this year. Huaneng Shidaowan high-temperature gas-cooled reactor nuclear power plant demonstration project led by China Huaneng, jointly built by Tsinghua University and CNNC, with an installed capacity of 200,000 kilowatts, started construction in Rongcheng, Shandong at the end of 2012, is the world's first ball bed modular high-temperature gas-cooled reactor with the characteristics of the fourth generation of advanced nuclear energy systems, together with the lunar exploration project and Beidou navigation, it was included in the sixteen national major scientific and technological projects.

As the world's first ball bed modular high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, China has successfully developed more than 2,200 sets of the world's first sets of equipment, achieving a significant leap in the localization rate of 93.4% of demonstration projects.
